Masky's POV
Neither of us sleep. I mean, I never expected to get any sleep, y'know, since I have insomnia and all, but my precious Toby... I wish he'd just sleep.
He always says the nightmares don't make sleep worth it, having to see his sister again, or relive the abuse from his father. I understand. I do. It's just... his anxiety worsens when he hasn't slept. If his anxiety worsens then so do his tics which usually leads to either everyone in the mansion comforting him or everyone in the mansion mocking him.
It's too painful for him either way, which caused him to become depressed. With mine, Brian's and Slender's help, Toby's now as happy as he used to be. The only time he isn't is when he's tired and has a panic attack due to his tics.
Sometimes Toby talks to me about his attacks. He tells me that his tics make him anxious which worsens them and causes an anxiety attack, also triggering a panic attack since the tics frighten him, along with barely being able to breathe. He tells me that I'm the only one he feels calm with, bu—
'T-Timmy?!'
Oh, damn. I'd been staring into space again.
'Yeah?'
'I-I-I c-can't breathe r-right!'
'WHAT?!'
We were in the living room watching TV, I don't even know what it was because Toby picked it. He was laid across the couch, legs over the arm and head in my lap. That is, until he started to panic.
'No! No, no, no!!!'
'Toby, calm down!' I stood up but pushed Toby down trapping him in a laid down position on the couch. He struggled and started to hyperventilate. I started to play with his hair which usually calmed him down.
'Hey, hey... it's okay, it's okay. Calm down, okay? I've got you. You need to remember what we practised, do you remember?'
'I-in through th-th-the n-nose an-and out through th-the m-mouth?'
'Yes! Good job Toby! You keep doing that, alright? I'm going to find Brian to bring some meds for you. I'll be right back.'
'N-no stay!'
'I won't ever leave you for more than two minutes. It's important that we get your meds. Really important. You don't want another episode, do you?'
'N-no...'
'Good... you promise you won't move?'
'O-only if you give m-me a c-cuddle.'
God, this kid. This is why I love him. Always manages to do this to me.
I hug him then pull away.
'H-hey, th-that was a h-hug!'
'I would've stayed forever if it was a cuddle. Now wait there, I'll be right back.'
I went to find Brian who was in the kitchen eating my cheesecake!
'Damn it Brian, you are so goddamn lucky that I need Toby's meds from you!'
'Oh! Uh... hey, Tim. How's it going?'
'Toby's meds, Brian! Where are they?'
'Right here!' He threw the familiar looking pill bottle to me. 'Only 2, remember Tim.'
'You don't need to remind me.'
'Okay...'
'And stop eating my fucking cheesecake!'
'I'll try!' He adds before continuing to inhale the food.
I walk back into the living room to see toby curled up into a ball, biting at his hands and muttering incomprehensible nonsense.
'Hey, hey. Stop that, you're not gonna get better by doing that!'
I pulled his hands away from his mouth.
'I-I'm sorry, m-masky.'
'There's no need to be sorry. You'll get better, but you need to calm down, alright. And take these pills.'
'A-are th-these one's th—'
'Yes they're the right ones.'
The reason why Brian carries Toby's pills is because Jeff swapped them around nearly killing both of them whilst he laughed his head off. And Toby can't be trusted to keep his own pills safe, so Brian keeps them both.
Toby took the pills and his tics lessened causing him to calm down a lot.
'Y'know Toby?'
'Yeah?'
'You're doing a lot better. Look at your hands. See?'
'N-no?'
'There's no blood, Tobes! You didn't bite enough to draw blood!'
'Huh? Huh. I did!'
'I'm so proud of you! Tell you what, first thing tomorrow we'll go anywhere you want for the whole day!'
'The beach?!'
'If that's where you wanna go.'
'Yes!'
'But you need to sleep first.'
'Aww, c'mon masky, I'll be fine!' He said sitting up properly.
'When was the last time you slept?'
'Uuhh...'
'Exactly.'
'...Tuesday!'
'It's Friday.'
'Oh.'
'Off to bed then.'
'Nooooo...'
You'd think that he'd love to be in bed after having a panic attack and all, but no.
'How about I cuddle you?'
'I don't want to go t-to sleep!'
'Come on.'
I picked him up bridal style and walked upstairs to my room.
'Ooh! Your room!'
'Yes, so enjoy this privilege.'
I laid on the bed with Toby beside me. Almost instantly he turned onto his side and hugged my sideways.
'You s-said you'd c-cuddle, Timothy.'
Oh shit.
'Fine.'
I turned slightly and wrapped my arms around him as he shoved his face into the crook of my neck.
I began to softly stroke his hair.
'Stop, you're making me s-sleepy.'
'Good.'
Eventually his breathing evened out, and I fully relaxed since I knew he was asleep.I began falling asleep myself.
Why's Toby so damn cute! Oh well. I need to sleep anyway.I turned my head slightly, so I could smell his hair.
'My beautiful Toby.' I whispered pulling him closer and inhaling deeply.
We both stayed asleep until 11am the next day.
