The sound of ambulance sirens ring again. I can see all the cars moving to the right side of the road as the emergency vehicle passes them. I wonder where they are going, I see people constantly being brought in at the place where I am training to be a doctor. It's always something new I have never seen before. From people with all kinds of injuries from others to people that injured themselves.

My parents were doctors and they wanted me to be one. I was always set on making my parents proud. In high school I graduated top of my class, and got into an invitation only honors society.  There has never been a time where I wasn't trying my best for them. I always did as I was told and sacrificed so many things just to get to where I am now.

I wish that I could have had made more memories while in high school, but that's all behind me now. As my father always says "You do what your told now, and live in the moment when your rich." I never understood it until I saw how not doing as your told can get you into trouble with the wrong kind of people. I never wanted to be anything like those people. They can kill you or have you killed. I have to much ahead of me to be getting involved with those hooligans.

I work a nightshift at the hospital down the street so I normally leave out around 7:00pm. I train there for about three hours which means when I am leaving to go back home, it's really dark out, and now thanks to daylight savings time I feel sluggish every time. It's the feeling of being in a bright room for so long and then you go to a dark room. Your eyes take forever to adjust to the sudden contrast change and it seems like you've gone blind.

I just left out of the apartment building. I'm bundled up with a scarf, hat, gloves, and a big puffy coat. It's freezing outside and it's not helping that it's also windy. I have my backpack filled to the brim with all things I might need today including a little snack. I never really realized how many ally ways I walk by just to get there.

With each passing one I look down, there is either a pile of garbage, or a huddle of people around a fire. My mind is clouded with memories of when my dad used to scold me for disobeying him. He told me I would end up there if I wasn't smart about my decisions. I'm so deep into thought I don't realize that I've nearly almost passed the entrance. I walk in and greet the people at the front desk before going towards the elevator.

Standing there waiting is a very tall and muscular man. He has black middle parted hair and hands that are most likely bigger than my face. He is wearing a white button up shirt with black slacks and shiny square toe shoes. The shirt on him is big enough you can't see his waist but is small enough around his arms that you can see his muscles every time he bends them. The doors open and he steps in before me.

"What floor?" His voice is smoky and low.
" 16 please."
The button lights up. Since there are no other buttons lit, I assume we are going to the same floor.

"Are you also going to 16?"
"Mhm."
"Ah, are you visiting?"
"No. Im a doctor."

I stand in shock. Someone that looks like him is a doctor? He looks like a loving version of Hercules.

"I am working with the trannies today, and from your over stuffed backpack I'm assuming you are one of them."

"Is it that obvious?"

"Mm yes but there is nothing wrong with that. You seem like the type to always be prepared."

"Ah, okay."

Listening to him talk is like watching a movie about a bad guy with the seductive voice. His low baritone voice with his long muscular figure reminds me of the guys I always read about in books. The doors open and we both go separate ways. I go to put away all my belongings in the lockers and to put on the right attire for what we wear when in a surgical studies room.

"MADDIE! GIRL I HEARD THAT THE TEACHER IS SUPPOSED TO BE A TOTAL HOTTIE!"

" He really is though! I saw him in the elevator and oh... my gosh. It was like seeing Jacob in juman form after Isabella finally cured him!"

"HOLY COW! Nah that was an intense moment I couldn't recover after reading that chapter!"

"I knowww it was the best one! I knew it was gonna happen."

We walk out to the room where everyone else is standing around the table. Soon after we walk in, the mystery guy comes in. He is now wearing his scrubs. They completely covered every element of his body and nothing I was able to see before is now visible.

"Hello future doctors and nurses. I'm Dr. Noah Addens and from here on out I am your new mentor.

The day is over and I'm finally going home. I check my phone only to see that the temperature has dropped ten degrees and it's snowing. Walking home in the snow feels makes 10 minutes feels like an hour.

"Heading home?"
I look up to see Noah standing next to me.
"Yeah just trying to get mentally prepared for an agonizing walk."

" you're not actually going to try and walk in a blizzard are you?"

"how else am I going to get home?"

"I'll take you home."

"No it's fine."

" I'm not asking. I'm telling."

He pulls me outside to a black BMW.

"What's the address?"

"1413 southwind rd."

He starts the car and we make our way to the apartment buildings. It's a very quick drive and I'm home before I know it.
"Thanks for the ride."
"Just make sure you are staying warm" and with that he pulls off.
