A light begins to fade into your view. You're waking up. You hear some people speaking, but you can't understand who. "Yes, they just collapsed in front of my desk. It seems that they tripped." The sexy voice is familiar to you. Is that.. Mr. McCormick?
You sit up and feel a sharp pain in your forehead. He sees you get up and wince in pain, then quickly runs over to comfort you. "Y/n, are you okay?!" He yelps out, clearly with great concern for your health. "Everyone needs to leave the room right now! Go! Get out!" The students file out, making sure to stick around as long as possible to assess the situation and take pictures to show their friends. He rushes over to make sure you're okay. "I... I'm fine..." you respond with a shaky voice. That's when you see the nurse frantically enter the room. "Y/n? Oh, Y/n.." she quickly observes the injury on your forehead and decides that an ambulance needs to be called.
"A-ambulance?! I can't afford a trip in the ambulance... It costs thousands of dollars these days and isn't even covered by insurance! You can't leave me in crippling debt like that!" You say, unwilling to be weighed down by the unnecessary financial burden of the ambulance ride. That's when you hear Mr. McCormick pipe up, with his brave, meaty voice, "I'll drive them. If they need to go right now, then I will take care of it." You are practically swooning at this point after hearing his brave offer. "Mr. McCormick, don't you have kids to teach? I thought you loved teaching!" You say to him, the forehead injury ever-growing. "Who cares about any of that..." He replies, staring bravely towards the back of the library, "We're going to get you to that hospital, and I'm going to pay for it." He says, righteously.
~15 minutes later~
You and Mr. McCormick sit awkwardly in his Cardinal Red 2017 GMC Canyon SLT with "Jaymac" written on the license plate. You turn to him for guidance, and he locks eyes with you. It feels like falling in love all over again. "You know, y/n..." he begins, filling you with excitement and hope for what he could possibly say next, "If I was a lawmaker, you'd never have to pay to take a ride in an ambulance. Insurance would cover it. Maybe I'll become a real lawmaker this time.. for you. It's the right thing to do." He says. You can practically feel your legs turning into jelly. His kind, brave offer inspires you to an unimaginable extent. It makes your cheeks turn a deep shade of red, almost as red as the Cardinal Red of his 2017 GMC Canyon SLT with "Jaymac" written on the license plate.
