She fell first but He fell hardest

His why ?

"Good Morning" Dev greets everyone in the office with a cheeky smile on his face. And looks at Vidhi with anticipation that she would greet him with her Heart melting grin and eyes full of Heart. Thats the only thing he needs to make his Day a Happy Day.

But Vidhi who is busy working, looks up responds "Good Morning sir" and focuses back to her laptop, just like everyone else, leaving Dev utterly confused.

Dev has no idea why Vidhi dint smile.. like kal tak to sab theek tha... we spent good time in cafe having our fav coffees, fir long drive pe bhi gaye the, pura time kitna khush thi Vidhi. Fir aaj kya hua... maine kuch kiya kya...

In his cabin Dev starts recalling anything or everything he might have done wrong in past 1 week.. that could have hurt Vidhi.. but he could not figure out any single thing.

Now its been 45 minutes he is in the office and not even once Vidhi came to his cabin nor did she looked at him with her beautiful doe shaped eyes even once.

He isnt used to it... it has never happened before in last 14 months after Vidhi came to this office and in last 8 months after she has become his life. Oh yes its been 8months we are dating for... kitna duffer tha na main... kitna suffer kayara Vidhi ko haan bolne se pahle.

And he has never missed her this bad before either... he wants to stare at her while she blabbers about her daily life, wants to talk to her in his fumbling mode, wants to reply to her cute questions.. but how ?

He just cant go out and ask her in front of everyone as we have made promise to keep our relationship secret in office...

but then why isnt she coming in my cabin... abhi tak to kitni baar aa chuki hoti kuch na kuch puchne.. abhi jab main itna paresha hu to ek baar bhi nahi aayi"

He was pacing in his room while he was talking it with himself and trying to find a way to ask her to come in his cabin.

Outside on his seat Vidhi is sulking badly

"Dev sir ab dekhna aapko kaise maja chakhati hu. Main hamesha aage peeche ghumti rahti hu na isiliye aapko lagta hai main aapse jyada pyaar karti hu"

on word Pyaar Vidhi has this shy smile on her face "wo pyaar.. to main sach me bahut karti hu aapse..."

snaps out of it "but is baar aapki baari hai prove karne ki aap mujhse kitna pyar karte hai. matlab aap bhul kaise sakte hai"

"Vidhi"..."Vidhi".... Arjun taps on her shoulder and she jolts out of her Dev swapn.. looks at Arjun to ask what happened

Did you get Dev's sign on last month's expense report. We have to submit it to CA. Arjun reminds her about the sign she forgot to take yesterday.

"Oh haan.. main bhul gayi thi. Jati hu." unwillingly Vidhi takes the file and leaves for Dev cabin.

in Cabin Dev is still pacing back and forth as he is still unable to find the reason of Vidhi's ignorance and her changed behavior towards him... and a knock on door brings him back to reality.

"May I come in sir" this known honey like voice is his weakness... he has heard it 1000 times before but today it was way too sweeter cause he is hearing it almost 2 hours after coming to office.

He turns, look at Vidhi with a happy smile hoping she would smile back and asks her to come in.. Vidhi comes in, still looking at the file in her hands.

Dev to himself "Are yaar gussa to iski naak pe baiha hai... "

to Vidhi "haan vidhi bolo"

Vidhi "Sir ye last month ki expense report hai ispe aapke sign chahiye the." still looking at file.

Dev takes the file, signs on it but looking at her and asks "Vidhi.. ek baat karni thi..."
Vidhi interuppts "Sir wo aapne bola tha no personal talk in office" with sarcasm in eyes.

That just broke Dev's heart... he pleaded "Vidhi.. wo.. wo bas ek chhoti si.. bahut... chhoti..... baat..... hai"

Vidhi "Sir mujhe bahut kaam hai... please main jau"

This was first in his time with Vidhi he is being rejected by her.. and he has no idea Why ?

he wants to scream... VIDHI... please....bata do but being in office isnt helping.

Vidhi back onto her seat with a determined look on her face "Ab dekhna sir aap kabhi nahi bhologe"

Here Dev is getting more and more restless by each passing second which then interrupted by the call from Satyawati..

she tells him today is October 05 and we have an invitation to an NRI's brand launch party.. and asks will he be able to join ?

Dev heard Oct 05. and everything becomes crystal clear to him.. Now he realized what blunder he had done. Vidhi's anger, her ignorance made complete sense to him.

It was her first bday yesterday after they got together and he forgot about it completely.

Like how could he do that.. whole day yesterday she was so happy must be hoping i'd do something grand for her... surprise, gift, or anything to make her feel special...

aakhir uske generation ki ladkiyo ki yahi to chahat hogi, kuch to armaan honge na from their boyfriend (he get a tiny smile thinking he is finally boyfriend to someone as perfect as Vidhi)

But ab kya... kuch.. kuch to karna padega.. Vidhi ko manane ke liye.. par kaise.. she is not even looking at me let alone talk.

Dev.... Dev.. Satyawati calls him again to make sure he is there on the call.

"Maa main aapko karta hu call.. " Dev cuts the call....
