Katelynn looked out the window of the plane, tired of being surrounded by the idiots she called classmates. The highschool they went to spent hella money for this trip, plus everyone gets to spend their entire summer going around the world. So why should anyone not come or complain, all they asked was for every senior to pay 5 bucks, not bad. It was only for the seniors of Camden's highschool so a few had to say goodbye to their friends in the lower grades, including Katelynn. She looked at a friend of hers, Jayden Stone. "Are you excited for Italy?" Jayden asked. "Of course, I've wanted to go there since middle school! How could I not be excited?" Katelynn exclaimed. Two months away from her crazy parents and her annoying older sister, how could she not be happy? The truth is, she was dreading it. She was already homesick, but then again she couldn't complain, this was a huge opportunity! She would get to eat spaghetti and pizza in the place it originated! The only thing that sucked was that the two furries from her school were sitting in the row behind her, and Lilly had taken her shoes off, and put her feet on Katelynn and Jayden's arm rest.

"This is going to be a long flight" Katelynn said, putting her chair back, nearly hitting Lilly in the face. "Agreed" Jayden said, leaning her chair back slightly and taking snacks from her carry-on-bag. The flight took about 6-5 hours for them to arrive at the Italian airport, Katelynn stretching from the long flight."God I wish we had gotten first class," complained Kalvin. "Kalvin, do you ever stop complaining about stupid shit?" Alissa said, hitting Kalvin on the back of his head. "Oww! What was that for?" He said, rubbing the spot of which he was hit. " For being an ass, and for being built like the original Gatorade bottle." Alissa said, walking away. Katelynn laughed which earned a glare from Kalvin. Katelynn looked away, continuing to snicker with Jayden.

That night they returned to their rooms, some saying goodnight to their friends and others going straight to bed. Katelynn shared a room with Jocelyn Barnett and Anna Johnson, good friends of hers that she cared dearly about. It was 1 am before Jocelyn and Anna fell asleep, though Katelynn was still up. She tossed and turned as the clock stricked 2 am. She was tired none the less, so why couldn't she sleep? After such a long flight you'd expect to be exhausted. But something just seemed..uneasy. Katelynn couldn't help but feel like she was being watched, she got up to close the curtains of the large windows. As she grabbed onto the dark blue curtains, she saw a deformed face. It seemed to have claws and large sharp teeth, it being a midnight blue and just prowling around the outside of the hotel. Katelynn, terrified, quickly closed the curtains. "Guys wake up I just-" Katelynn said, turning and seeing the empty bunk bed of which just contained her friends a moment ago.

She then heard scratching at her hotel door, sheepishly she walked to the small closet in the hotel, closing herself in as the door flung open. Katelynn held her breath as footsteps of the creature got closer and closer to the closet. Then, the footsteps just stopped in front of the closet door. Katelynn took a deep breath "It's all just an hallucination." Katelynn told herself. That is, until she heard breathing behind her, her back was to the wall, what was going on? Then she heard it.."Goodnight, child"

Epilogue: Anna and Jocelyn woke to Katelynns bed being empty. Confusion rose as Katelynn was never seen since that night. Some assumed she was dead, others believed she was still alive, just missing. But, she left with no trace. Only people who met the same fate as her knew what happened. The Babau of Italy took another child who was doing what they weren't supposed to.
