(3rd person pov.)

Early daybreak, three royal soldiers knocked on the newly built house outside a birchwood forest. Experienced young men, hand-picked by the king for their new task. One with black hair and a white bandana, with some stubble on his face. The next with brown hair and white-rimmed sunglasses.

The third was taller than the others, he wore a creeper mask over his mouth and the whites of his eyes were black with bright green irises. Holding a trident in his left hand, he knocked again with his right hand.

"Sam, cut it out! It's 6am! I doubt that anyone-" The one with black hair said, being cut off.

Kendi opened the door, a glass of water in hand. He bowed his head as a welcome or good morning. A few sips of water leave the glass and Kendj gives them a proper greeting and asks them to come inside.

"I take it Eret sent you?" He said sitting back down at the dining table.

The knights knew it was ok for this family to call the king by their name. They looked around the house, at how it was decorated, what it was made of and other things they should note.

"Yes, their Highness did send us here and we were given orders to protect you and your siblings. I've been ordered to guard..." Sam trailed off, taking a piece of paper out of his pocket. "You. The reasoning is that you were the one whom he was dancing with when he was caught. Their Highness has reason to believe he has an attachment to you already and as the prison's warden I vow-"

"No. You'll guard (Y/n) instead." Kendi interjected.

"I'm sorry, um, pardon?" Sam said.

"You'll guard my youngest sibling instead. I worry for their safety more than my own. I can defend myself well, I want my siblings to be safe."

"I'll have to put in a formal request, but that can be arranged. For now, however, we'll keep our posts."

Note: Hi guys, I'm not dead, school is simply kicking my ass. Sorry for the lack of updates, I'll try to get on that I promise!
