Autumn's POV (girl in picture^^^)
I sat up frightened. Heavy breathing. I put my hand over my chest and felt my heart beat. It was going pretty fast but soon slowed down. I picked up my phone and checked the time. 1:57 am. I unlocked my phone and scrolled through my recent calls. I clicked on Jacks name. Ring Ring Ring. Then a click. "Hey." His voice was husky and deep.
"I had another nightmare." I said. This has been happening a lot lately. I have gotten at least 2 nightmares a week. Ever since my dad died. About 2 years ago when I was 15. I'm 17 now, 18 in 3 months. Almost every time I called Jack for comfort but most of the time I didn't need to call him. He basically lived with me. We both lived alone.
"I'll be right over." Jack Gilinsky is my best friend. We have known each other ever since the 1st grade when I moved here. We are neighbors.
Flashback

"Hi I'm Katherine Gilinsky. I heard you guys just moved in."
"Oh well yes we did just move in. Thank you so much for coming over. I was hoping we would have a neighbor like you." My mom said back.
"No problem. Oh and this is my son Jack." I noticed the little boy hiding behind Katherine's legs.
"Hi Jack, how old are you?" my mom asked.
"I'm 6 years old. " He said holding up 7 fingers. He looked at them and hurried and put down one of the fingers.
"Oh and who is this?" Katherine asked.
"This is Autumn. She is 6 too." my mom said.
"Great, how about you guys go play while we talk." Katherine suggested.
"Ok." I said. I took Jacks hand and we went upstairs. We sat down in my empty bedroom and just talked.
"Do you want to best friends with me and my other best friend, Jack Johnson?" Jack asked me.
"Sure." I said.

I got out of bed and opened my sliding doors. My bedroom is on the second floor and has doors that lead to a deck. Jacks deck is right next to ours so he could literally just jump from his to mine. Jack and I kinda have that type of relationship where you do what couples do but just stay friends. We kiss and other things. No we don't have sex but he has seen me naked before.
Knock knock "It's me" Jack said closing the doors.
"Hey." I said. I went and got in bed and saved some room for Jack. He crawled in and put the covers over our heads. He scooted closer to me and put his arm around my waist. Jack kissed my head and we drifted off to sleep.
