Keely’s POV

I got out of my cab at Fox studios and stared in awe at what was in front of me. My life was seriously about to change.

I felt the butterflies approach in my stomach as I fixed my dress, and proceeded to walk into where Glee was filming.

I wasn’t filming today. I was just rehearsing.

Or at least that’s all I was told.

I hadn’t even gotten my script yet because Ryan was “testing me”.

We’d see what that means.

I walked through the front doors to see both of the Ryans conversing with other producers and writers.

“Keely! Good to see you! Are you ready?” He asked.

I nodded excitedly.

Before I was swarmed by people informing me what I was going to do.

By the time I was ready and everyone was situated, I was waiting for my entrance.

I was told to walk down the hall casually, and my script would be in my locker.

There were no extras at rehearsal, so it was just me walking down and empty hall.

I pulled out my script to see that someone would be doing this scene with me.

“Hey. You’re the new girl, huh?” I heard a male voice say behind my open locker.

It startled me, just like I’m sure it was intended to.

I now began to read the script and act out the scene…

“Yeah. I am. And if you’re going to ask me for concert tickets the answer is no.” I replied sassily. Locker still open. With curiosity of who may be speaking to me, still lingering.

“No. No I’m not. Just wanted to say hi.” He said cutely.

“Well… Hi.” I said back awkwardly, continuing to look at the script in my locker. Staying in character.

“Ya know… it’d be great if I could see who I’m talking to…” He added on.

*Improvise the rest* the script said.

A challenge. I liked that.

“Hmm… I don’t know… I sort of like the mystery of it all.” I said, turned so that the locker door was the only thing separating our faces. Good thing it was long, because he seemed kinda tall.

“Oh so you’re that kind of girl.” He playfully chimed back.

“And what kind of girl is that?” I continued this trend of whatever we were doing.

“One of those girls who looks at life with a deeper meaning to everything and secretly hopes to find someone who cracks her code, and gets her right away. Because she’s looking for someone just like her. A beautiful mystery.” His words ran like poetry to me.

I thought for a moment then leaned my back against the open locker where my books were.

“And what’s wrong with that?” I brought a guarded wall up as the question was out in the open.

“Nothing.” He answered.

“Like I said… beautiful mystery. Kind of like this right now. You’re a bit shocked because I just summed you up in a second just like you hoped someone would. And we haven’t even seen each others faces, or know each others names.” He said sweetly, no rudeness at all. Even though it could have definitely been taken that way if said differently.
