The heavy rains thundered and boomed outside the cold, empty cave you two hid in. A long sigh leaves Itto's lips.

"Maaan!-" he huffs. "If only the stupid storm came along later. Then we could hunt for Onikobuto!''

You looked over at his face, his scowl high lighted by the fire lit nearby. His dark brows were furrowed with displeasure, the rain ruining his plans. You reach over and gently take his much larger hand into yours, dragging your thumb along the backside of his hand. He visibly relaxed at your touch. He smiles.

"Look at it like this," You hum, tracing his knuckles with your finger. "This just means we can cuddle in this cave together.''

He flashes a toothy grin and scoops you up into his arms without a word, pressing kisses to your cheeks.

"My pretty boyfriend, you always know how to make me smile~"

He starts to run his fingers through your hair as he held you close to him, his heartbeat in your ear as you sighed comfortably. His touch soothed you like nothing else could.

"Y'know, before I met you, I was, "he pauses. "I was lonely. I had the gang, Shinobu, Granny Oni, but with you, you filled a void I didn't know I had."

He smiles at you as his eyes twinkled with adoration and love.

"Thank you, Bug~" His lips softly press against your forehead. "For being here. With me."

"Well, of course, Love." You smile.

This time he pressed his lips to yours, ever so soft and plump like always. You sighed happily and cupped his cheek, tracing his marking with your thumb as the kiss depend. Your tongues touched for a few mere seconds before he pulled away, flashing you a sheepish grin. He didn't want to take things too far in a cave. A cold cave, at that. Instead he laid you down, placing your head on his lap as he began to play with your hair. You closed your eyes and soon drifted off to sleep, the warmth of the fire and the pattering of the rain ,that had calmed down, lulling you to sleep.
