diona just finished shaking the tree to get the last apple. She looked up and saw the sun setting and decided to return to mondstadt. by the time she reached Mondstadt, it was already dark out. She was at the gates of mondstadt when she saw a dark figure dart by, she was quite scared because no lights in mondstadt were on at that hour. she ran to the tavern expecting diluc to be there, he told her that he would stay behind late that night so she ran to the tavern as fast as possible.  she opened the door slowly and to her surprise there was no one there. she knew there was a back room on the second floor of the tavern so she slowly went there. she was at the door when it opened and something pulled her in! it was... diluc? she quickly looked up to see a terrified look on diluc's face. she started to talk when diluc quickly covered her mouth. he quietly told her not to make a sound when suddenly a big crash came from downstairs. there was a window in the room they were in leading to a balcony.  they slowly approached the widow when *CRASH* the door broke in half.  when the dust cleared, they saw someone standing there with a sort of outfit they have never seen before... but there was something wrong... their face was just a black void. just 2 eyes staring them down. by the time diona could process everything diluc had already grabbed her and was running towards the dawn winery. By the time diona processed everything they were already at the dawn winery. When they got there there was no one there so they decided to go to a private room so it would be safer. They sat down at a table and started to talk about everything that just happened."WHAT WAS THAT" Diona screamed "could you please lower your voice?" Diluc said in a passive aggressive tone. "Okay just tell me what you know so far "said diona in a slightly calmer voice "I'm not quite sure myself, I was going to close the tavern for the day when I saw whatever that thing was" said diluc barely whispering "well it's clearly still in mondstadt and judging by the way it broke The door I think it's after something and getting rid of anything in its way while looking for it" said diona still slightly shaking from everything that just happened. "We're going to stay here for the night and then go back in the morning to get anyone that's still in there"said diluc. Diluc noticed the fact that diona was shaking but didn't know what to do about it so he just brought her the the spare bedroom in the winery and slept on the floor with a few blankets and pillows while diona slept in the bed. Before sleeping diluc thought about how cold he acted towards people around him and how he wishes he could be friends with them before drifting off to sleep
