I got out of my car and walked to the door, opening it. The guys all looked at me. I should have just went straight home. My fucking face and legs hurt.
"Whoa, holy shit, who the fuck did you piss off?" Tracii asked as Kelly put his bass down and walked over to me. Kelly took is thumb and his index finger and gently lifted up my chin, making sure I was okay.
"My mom." I said. Kelly looked at me and grabbed my hand. "I'll see you guys later, I want to make sure Erin's okay." Kelly said. They all nodded and Kelly and I walked to my car.
When we reached the apartment, I walked to the bathroom, Kelly following after me. "What happened?" He asked as he grabbed a wash rag and begin to wipe the dried blood off of my face. "My mom was sober. She was sober but still hit me. It wasn't the alcoholism like I thought it was. Donna's just a shitty mother." I said.
"You gunna see her again?" Kelly asked. I shook my head no. "Fuck that noise." I said and he laughed. "Can I tell you something?" He asked me. "Yeah, what is it?" I asked him.
He sat the wash rag down and looked at me. I smiled. "We've known each other awhile, and Erin, I fucking believe that we'll know each and be with each other until the fucking world catches on fire." Kelly said. I nodded.
"So we should learn more about each other." He added. "Okay, uhm, what do you want to know?" I asked him. "Birthday?" He questioned. "December 12, 1965." I said. "What about you?" I asked him.
"January 5, 1962." He said, wiping blood off of my mouth. "Not bad." I said. He nodded. After he was done I hopped off of the sink in the bathroom. "Are you okay?" Kelly asked. "Yeah, as long as your here. If you weren't, I don't think I'd be alive."
He smiled and hugged me. I smiled and walked to my room to change. When I was done, I walked out and found Kelly on the couch. He was watching something on MTV about Faster Pussycat.
"No fucking way." He said as I sat down next to him. "What?" I asked. "I turn on the tv and the first thing that say is "We have the band Faster Pussycat here for an interview." He told me
"Oh." I said. I haven't spoken to or seen Brent since we ended things. As I watched the tv, I watched all of them sit down. "So you guys are fairly new." The interviewer asked them. Taime nodded. "We're a new band, but are music is inspired by a lot people." He said.
"Now, I understand that some of you aren't the original members of the band?" The interviewer said. They all nodded. "Our old bassist Kelly Nickels, was in a bad motorcycle crash when we were signed, with him in a cast and in and out of hospitals, the record company wanted him out." Brent said.
"I didn't know that." I told Kelly. "Know what?" He asked. "That you were in motorcycle accident." I said. He shrugged. "It broke my leg, nothing else." He said and I nodded.
"Are you and Kelly, still friends?" The interviewer asked them. "We aren't as close as we used to be, but yeah. He's in another band, L.A. Guns." Brent answered. "Any of you single?" None of them answered. I then watched as the interviewer pulled out a magazine from behind his desk and he held it up. My eyes went wide.
"I know Brent isn't or wasn't single." The interviewer said. Brent shook his head and smiled. "Whose is this lady on the cover with you?" The interviewer asked. "She's not 'this lady' that's Erin. Erin and I met at the Whiskey, she was amazing. I loved her, I did, and I guess I always will, but when things don't work out, they don't work out." He said.
"Where is Erin today?" The interviewer asked. He sure did have a lot of questions. "It's a funny story really. One morning when I woke up at Erin's apartment, I was walking out to meet the band and a guys voice said hey to me. I turned around to see Kelly." Brent explained.
"Kelly, Kelly Nickels?" He asked. Brent nodded. "They are roommates, they be something more now but that's not my business. Erin and I are still friends, so don't shit on her or call her a groupie or anything, cause that's not her." Brent said. I smiled.
The interview then ended after they announced their tour. "What do you want to do?" I asked Kelly. He shrugged his shoulders. I sat there looking at him, "We could go fuck around around the strip." I suggested. There wasn't much to do.
He nodded and got up. We walked out the apartment and locked the door. We got on Kelly's bike and went to the strip. I was bored and I decided that tattoos was the way to go. I grabbed Kelly's hand and practically dragged him to the tattoo place that the guys and I always go to.
"Tattoos, matching tattoos." I told the tattoo artist. Kelly looked at me furrowed his eyebrows. "You want to fucking get matching tattoos. I smiled and nodded. I'd we were going to be together, we'd be all in. "All in." I said. He smiled. "All fucking in."
Kelly had gotten a rose that had a lighter in it, with my name on one of the petals and the lyrics to one of my favorite songs.
"you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"
"How'd you know that's my favorite song?" I asked him. He looked at me. "You always play it, since the day I've moved in it's the song you play the most." He told me. I smiled. Maybe we know more about each other than we thought.
I think I might love Kelly.
I had gotten a rose, except mine had a cigarette in it, also, Kelly's name in one of the petals as well. Along with something he once told me.
"Your not pathetic, you're battles just take a lot of you, but in the end, guess whose not a broken record playing over and over"
He told me that after my dad died. He looked at my arm and smiled. We paid and went to go find the guys.
