Set in Early 1960s.
Colette Boulanger stood beside her husband Gianni Bassago, one would wonder why they had different surnames if they were married in this era. But they had their reasons, only known to them.
Their little daughter Odette turn around twirling and seemed fascinated with all the large villas surrounding the colonized area. She wondered why it was this way here and not back home like this? Her friends had to travel long to meet her and so did she.
Then came out a maid to greet them into the large villa and Colette gave her husband a side look. She felt disrespected by the fact neither of the hosts was there to greet them instead what seemed like it was the head maid present to greet them.
Gianni held her arm gently and whispered in her ear "Amour they are not rich they are illegal rich, mafia rich so please tone it down." Colette heaved a sigh and put on an elegant smile and with a classy catwalk entered the villa thinking 'Even then, we have a villa no less than their's, my father's Chateau is twice the size. If I wasn't so madly in love with this idiot I wouldn't bear such disrespect.'
As soon as they came into view the host family got up. The man of the family and boss of Gianni, Antonio Salvaggio stood like a mountain.
Looking at him from top to bottom Colette could understand the gravity of the statement her husband spoke of but she was a woman with the principle of never bowing to one, that was what her father taught her. And with rich poise, she greeted him and turned to a much gentler lady of the house who greeted her with a big megawatt smile.
"Hello, welcome to the family. You must be Colette and is that little Odette? Oh my! She's just as pretty as you!!"
"Oui I am Colette and it's my husband as you do know and this is indeed the princess of our family Odette, greet them."
"Bonjour, my name is Odette Yves Boulanger, I'm nine years old and I love fashion as I take after my mother, father is always cranky about me not liking sports but it just isn't my forte and the cool ribbon you see on my head is designed by bien à vous(yours truly) and pépère(grandad) if you lot want I can even desig-" Colette covered her mouth while Gianni looked horrified at his daughter and then at his boss.
Gloria hollered the loudest she ever had which made her husband look at her and so did what seemed like her son who was silently sitting and waiting for them to settle on the dining table.
"Oh my! She might just be the ray of sunshine she's adorable c'mon make yourself at home while I serve the lunch." Gloria spoke gleefully and moved towards the table as Antonio quirked at his son, "Tisicio son? Should we remind you too, to greet the guests?"
"Hello my name is Tisicio.", it was a simple formal greeting, unlike Odette who might as well have given her address if required be.
Out of all the people at the table, it was only the females talking and even in that it was Gloria talking to Odette while Colette was trying to tone down her always hyped-up kid.
After the lunch finished the men walked off to sit in the study and discuss business while Gloria thought it would be better to talk to Colette after all the fashion diva was in her villa and she wanted to chat with her as much as she could and they left the kids to bond not knowing a disaster would soon blow up.
