¿How did the badge work?

I think I kind of realised that it had hypnotised me again; dropping me into a deeper trance so that I could take in and obey instructions longer than two words. Then I just had to do what it said on the screen.

I tapped the OK button at the bottom of the screen, and shook my head to dispense with the last traces of fuzzy contentment from the trance. I looked down at the phone screen, and saw that Baby Adrica was proudly displaying the badge on her clothes as she danced around the screen.

I smiled at the cuteness, and it took a second before I realised what I had just agreed to. Why hadn't I stopped myself right away when those instructions came up? I didn't want to be wetting myself without even knowing! That should have been a major red flag, but after all the pages of text I had just read, I'd somehow gotten carried away with agreeing to everything, like it was a pattern I couldn't break. Still, it would only last as long as I had that badge equipped, so it wasn't something I would actually have to live with.
