Happy second birthday to this poor, poor book!
I wish I had a better relationship with it, and I really wish I didn't have to be putting it on multiple hiatuses. But life is tough, and my life is tougher than most, haha.
This book got a lot of terrible comments, and a lot of lovely ones, and I am truly thankful for all the people who keep reading, expecting, and hoping still. You are heroes.
I am absolutely planning on finishing this story. I know it's unnecessarily long, and probably quite cliché, but, trust me - the book has been writing itself, I am only here to type letters. I know how it ends, and it will end in a heart-breaking way. There will be a major character death - if you read this story on AO3 - you know the Archive Warnings. I am still a bit torn whether to give our main protagonists a happy ending, or a tragic one, but there will be more angst to come, for sure.
All I've written so far, all 500 000+ words, have been edited, so... yay me. Nobody cares, but editing 250+ chapters was hard work too.
I think it's been so hard for me to write on mostly because of the WangXian part of the final chapters; anything WangXian has been making me truly sick in the last couple of months.
I have been expecting Wattpad to delete this book, bearing in mind just how shamelessly sexual the content is. But, for now, it is still standing. My poor baby is quite resilient, it seems.
Please, wait a little longer. I am almost done with 3 on-going books right now, and as soon as they are ready - this will be the project I will be working on daily. I, just like you, am quite impatient to finish it. Had it not been for the MXTX fans and Wattpad users' toxicity - this book would have been ready a year and a half ago.
Sigh.
