Chapter 1- New arrival

-Alma's POV-

I wake up to crystal cupping my cheek and giving me a small kiss on the forehead.

"Good morning to you too" i say not the slightest bit tired as i stretch out and sit up.

"Did you sleep well?" She asks and i'm confused for a moment.

"Yes? Why do you ask?" I say questioning her question.

"You've just been turning a lot in your sleep lately, and i just wanted to check." She says and i smile at her.

"I assure you dear i'm fine." I say leaning to kiss her when suddenly the door shoots open. We both jump and in runs claire with Millard behind her. She runs over and hides behind me while Millard stops in front of me.

"Millard?" I say questioning his intentions.

"I'm sorry i scared her and didn't want to get yelled at. I hold back a smile and just pull down his hat the slightest bit making him laugh.

"Now go wake the others" i say and he runs of. I turn to Claire who was crying and lifted her in my arms.

"Let me tell you something... but you have to promise to not tell anyone" i say seriously. She nods and i whisper in her ear.

"Millard is terribly afraid of spiders" she seems to know what is to do and runs of with a devilish grin.

"She'll never forget that" i hear crystal say and i laugh.

"Certainly not" i say and turned to give her the kiss. I walked to our shared closet and grabbed my usual outfit getting changed quickly so i could be down in time.

"Are you coming darling?" I ask and look back at Crystal who is still sitting in bed.

"Just i a second" she says not so pleased, but she's always like this in the morning. It's perfectly normal. I head down the stairs almost falling over a shoe. I pick up the shoe and place it in the entrance before walking to the kitchen. This was going to be a boring day...

-Y/N's POV-

You woke up when the sun shone through the window of the pub and stretch out. You look at the time and sigh when you seen how early it still was.

"Might as well get up" You say with a groan and get up. You slipped into something comfortable and headed down to the pub. Of course Kev -the pub owner- was already up and you gave him a smile.

"Can't sleep i take it?" He states more then asks and you nod. He chuckles a little and asks again;

"Have any plans today?"

"No not really i feel like i've been everywhere" you say and could see him thinking for a moment. Well have you been at the beach? He asks and... no. You slap yourself in the head and shake your head.

"No! I haven't!" You say exasperated and walk up the stairs again.

"I'm gonna go pack!" You yell down and her him laugh.

You'd grabbed one of your bathing suits and were headed to the beach. But there was something telling you not to. You stopped in your tracks before turning to go to the library. I just felt like you should be there right now... it was 11 o'clock but there weren't too many people out. Or at least you though so before a boy rambled into you making you stumble and fall. You hit your head on the ground and cursed out of pain.

"Damn it!" You said before someone came to you. The woman standing in front of you was wearing a navy blue coat and skirt and her hair and eyes were close to the same colour as her clothing.

"I'm so sorry dear. Hugh gets a tad bit excited sometimes" she says referring to the boy. She holds out a hand for you to take, which you do and she swiftly pulls you up. Though she didn't necessarily look like it, she was pretty strong.

"It's alright i get that." You say with a smile. You head was pounding and on instinct you hold up a hand to the pain.

"Is your head alright there?" She asks surprising you.

"Yes i'm sure it's nothing" you say just a tad bit too quickly and worry cast over her features.

"So you wouldn't mind if i just have a look?" She asks and you turn for her to look.

"Well you're not bleeding..." she states and you turn around again.

"Told you, just fine!" You say smiling at her widely.

"Were are you headed?" She asks and since you don't actually know you shrug making her smile a little more.

"Well would you like to follow is to the library?" She asks and you nod. Wait- you can't just follow strangers! Anyone would know that. A child would know that! But something about her feels safe. A lot of children suddenly run past and the woman shouts.

"Try not to run down anymore people!" And looks back making me do the same. A woman with black hair and an light blue outfit walks up to us.

"Oh hello" she says confusion spiking through.

"Hello" i say politely.

"Ah- this is my wife Crystal. And my name is Alma, Alma Lefay Peregrine" she says.

"Oh like the bird?" You ask and she looks surprised.

"Yes" she says simply and her wife doesn't seem happy to have you there.

"Well i'm Y/N." You say as you too, had forgotten to introduce yourself. You pause for a moment before taking the risk and asking;

"You wouldn't be familiar with the term... Ymbryne. Would you?" You say and see fear shock and surprise all at once in both of their faces.

"I'm taking that as a yes." You say with a soft smile.
