You grab your stuff and head out to your car and check Tom's message

Tom: Are you still awake?

You type back.

You: yeah, what's up?

Tom: There's a place I wanna show you. Will you meet me at the park?

You: Sure. See you soon

You start your car and head to the park. The night was still young but the stars hung high in the sky. The traffic seemed to be a little busier than the day but you didn't mind. Soon you get to the park and get out with your bag, locking your car behind you. Tom was waiting at the bench for you. The night sky shined off of his black eyes. He looks at you and then down at your outfit.

"I didn't mean for you to dress up"

"Oh, I had a meeting before this"

He raises an eyebrow then shakes his head and stands up.

"Come on"

He heads to the parking lot and gets into the driver's side of a car. You get to the other side and buckle up, putting your bag next to your feet.

"So, where are we going?"

"You will see"

You give him a look as he starts to drive. You sit there, a little worried and your mind starts to race. Is he kidnapping you? Is he an enemy just using you? Your breath starts to quicken and then you look down at your bag, realizing you have very important information that he could take. You start bouncing your leg and grip the handle of your bag. Tom glances at you then puts his hand gently on your leg to stop you from bouncing it before quickly taking it off.

"Take some breaths, it's nothing bad"

You stop bouncing your leg and try to calm your breathing. You know you can't relax since anything could happen. He can tell you are nervous but doesn't know what to do. The drive didn't take that long but every minute felt like an hour. He pulls into a parking lot and looks at you...

"We're here"

He gets out and walks over to the truck of his car. You grab your bag and get out of the car. Your (e/c) eyes glance at the gun in your bag. You look back at Tom and get ready to grab the gun. He pulls a guitar case out of the back of his car and then looks at you.

"We need to do a little walking before we are at the exact place"

You nod and let him lead the way. The moon shined clear above, illuminating the snow on the ground. You walk for a bit until you reach a bench. Tom brushes it off and sits down. You hesitantly sit down beside him. He opens the guitar case and pulls out a base. You finally relax and he glances at you before tuning his base. Realization hits you and you notice you are beside a cliff that gives you a whole view of the city.

"Woah..."

You trail off and look at the beauty that is the city. Lights shined against dark silhouettes of buildings and the roads looked like rivers of lights. Tom smiles and then starts playing his base. Your eyes shine as you look over the city. The base created a nice ora of feeling. A feeling of comfort, relaxation, and peace. You watch the lights twinkle all over the city. The last time you looked over the city like this was with your mother. You remember her soft smile and beautiful eyes. She was so full of passion and love. You shake your head and clear your throat, hoping to stop thinking about it before you cry. Your nose stings and you close your eyes. Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry! You take a deep breath then open your eyes.

"You okay?"

You look over at Tom who had a slightly worried expression on his face. You smile at him.

"Yeah, I'm good"

"Are you sure, you look like your gonna cry"

"I'm okay, I promise"

He looks at you, unconvinced. He was about to say something when your phone rang. You look at it to see your dad's contact.

"I've got to take this"

He nods and you get up and walk a distance away so he can't hear you.

"Hello?"

"Hey muffin, I've got a request"

"What is it"

"Your uncle Nathen has a mission to go on and he may need some help. Wi-"

"Before I answer, what kind of mission"

You hear your dad sigh and you could already imagine him, running his hand through his hair, conflicted.

"He has to go into enemy territory"

"That doesn't answer my question"

"... He has to go talk to... you know"

You sigh and rub your forehead.

"Yeah, I'll go but you better be prepared if I smack him in his fucking mouth"

"I know, I know"

"Good because if I do, you know what will happen"

"Yeah"

He clears his throat.

"Anyways, that is all."

"Okay, love you"

"Love you too"

You hang up and run your hand through your (h/c) hair. Tom had put his base away and was looking over the city when you came back. You sit down and lean back. He looks at you, the lights glisten in the dark void that is his eyes.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, it will be."
