Yuri katsuki POV:
Silver only Silver, even after months of having my idol and world's best male figure skating Victor Nikiforov as a coach all I can pull off is Silver, not only cant I retire I feel as if I've let Victor down. Now I'm on a plane. To Russia. With Victor. He was to return to the Ice next season... not as a soloist but as a duo, and Victor believes being away from my family will help me focus. Honestly, I'm not sure how to feel my family means everything to me and I know they are always there for me in the dark patches of my life. I have Victor but it's unfair to burden him with my life issues. So here I am sitting in the first-class section on a plane. A twenty-three-year-old is next to the one person I love but too shy to even tell the truth about our 'Good luck charm rings.
"Yuri, are you ok there you seem to be drifting off in your thoughts again." Victor manages to say while stuffing his face with the katsu don my mother made for him for the trip back home.
"Oh.. yea I'm fine" hesitantly forcing a smile before staring back out the window of the plane. The next thing I know my eyes are fluttering back open before feeling a wave of sickness come over me, I rush to the bathroom and try and calm myself down. All this change too quickly is begging to take a toll on my body both mentally and physically. Rising to the sink and staring at my reflection in the mirror, the memory of first meeting Victor flashed through my mind, I smiled at the memory, I wanted to reach deeper into that day, and remember more of the details.
Victor took me under his wing as his protégé and the kiss we shared after landing a quadruple toe loop. I get shaken back to reality by the thunderous noise made from the engines, the plane must be landing, and I return to my seat. Glancing over to see Victor still passed out cold then back out the window viewing the soft white snow covering the land below.
(Time jump couple of days)
Victor's POV:
"Yuriiiiii my little piggy, will you be going out today yes?" Yuri simply gave an uninterested smile back, taking a sip of his coffee. It's been weeks since he has done any training and the Grand Prix is right around the corner. I am starting to worry bringing him to Russia was too much for him too soon. "Oh I know!!!" grabbing Yuri's hand throwing him into our room and telling him to change into skating gear.
"Victor why did you drag me to the rink, I'm not in the mood to skate" Still having that dull expression in his eyes, I'm going to remind him of his love for skating, our love for skating,.....my love for him. 'J'ai Deux Amours' begins to play a personal favourite of mine, taking Yuri's hands and dragging him onto the ice, staring into his eye giving to give him the courage and support that he can do this.
Filling the rink with flawless leaps, twirls, and tosses, I move my arms around Yuri's waist guiding him through combos. a small smile creeps across my face as a can see that sparkle reappear in Yuri's eyes. if only skating together would fix this I would have dragged his ass down here sooner. The song comes to an end and we both fish staring into each other's eyes, my hands cupping both his cheeks, before slowly moving down his body and wrapping around his waist. "See my little piggy, you are still a fabulous skater"
"I'm sorry Victor...I just don't wanna disappoint you again"
"Again?? since when have you ever disappointed me, all you have done is impress me with your huge growth since I first met you" pulling him closer into a tight embrace.
"I only won silver though, I needed to win gold you were so excited to kiss me the medal, and now ill only drag you down"
"No, no, no, Yuri look at me" pushing him back a bit so I can see his face " I never once thought you would drag me down, I would never have decided to come back to the rink with you as my partner if I didn't believe in you." I could see tears beginning to swell in his eyes."
"CAN YOU TWO GET A GOD DAM ROOM ALREADY!!!!" the moment instantly being ruined by the one and only Yurio.
"Yurio can you not see there was a moment happening here" small pout forms on my face. He hasn't been the most welcoming to my and Yuri's partnership since the beginning.
"I don't care idiot, this is a public ring. So either skate or leave so I don't get distracted by you to all over each other" I look back at Yuri who by this point was giggling from the event that just unfolded. Warming my heart and making me think, that everything might end up being just fine. And when we win that gold medal together I will finally make you mine by marriage.
