(29) Christmas Confessions

3 months later,

Bucky's divorce was finalized, and it was now Christmas. Winnie and James hosted the family dinner this year. 

"What's up with brother Linds?" Lexie said 

"Which one?" Lindsey said 

"The one that has acted like a depressed monkey all night." She said 

Lindsey let out a giggle, and Winnie said "He and Serena got divorced 3 months ago." 

"Oh..why?" She said 

"She wanted more kids and he didn't." Winnie said 

Lexie couldn't think of any kind of remark, she was speechless. All that came out of her mouth was "Oh". 

Lexie walked away, he had been drinking all night, and had the kids with him. She grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler than walked out on the porch. 

"Hey, you don't need anymore of the alcohol." She said as she sat a water bottle down in front of him. 

"Don't act like you care." He said 

"I do care especially when you have your babies in there." She said 

He smirked, "thats funny coming from you." He said as he took a drink of his beer. 

"What the hell is that suppose to mean?" She said 

"I can't even look at you the same. You killed our baby out of spite and jealousy! Serena knew I spent my summer with you so you could of said it to me in front of her." He said 

Lexie looked down, "Its in the past James we can't change it now." She said 

"That baby should be here." He said 

"You're drunk..I'm not going to have this fight again especially when you are drunk." She said as she was about to walk away. 

"Just answer me this, why not adoption? You were adopted." He said 

"Because my story and circumstances are different, you just didn't want me or love me." She said 

He just shook his head and stood up, "go to hell Lexie." He said as he went inside leaving the water bottle on the table. 

Lexie went inside, and grabbed her coat. Winnie and Kelly Jo had heard the conversation they found her crying as she found her coat. 

"Honey he didn't mean it he's drunk." Winnie said 

"Merry Christmas." Lexie said as she left.
