"Do you think I did this because it's the norm?" Hunter asked me, his eyes were like daggers as he stared at me.

"I'm sure most of you supported her because people like riding on the bandwagon." I shrugged. "That's how people are."

Hunter shrugged. "Some probably did but not all of us are like that. I'm not like that so you can just drop the topic."

I nodded and looked around his office, his things are neat.

"Is that all?" he asked me.

I nodded and stopped myself from saying anything about the Cantabrias but I couldn't... I have to stop them from taking over the company. The Montagne Empire should be owned by a Montagne.

"The Cantabrias have plans for the Montagne Empire," I said and took a deep breath.

Hunter let out a dry chuckle while shaking his head. "I knew it. You'll take over the company, right? The Cantabrias welcomed you in so it wouldn't be suspicious if they took the Montagne Empire from me."

My lips parted. How did he find that out?

"Since you're here, Catria." His expression darkened. "Tell the Cantabrias that I am not scared of them and they shouldn't test me."

I looked down and nodded. "I... I'll try to relay the message."

"You may go," he said and looked down at the papers that were in front of him.

I just nodded and left his office quietly. I left the building and drove around different places. A lot of people were on the streets holding tarps and placards about the failure of the elections.

They were betrayed by the COMELEC but that's not my problem anymore.

It isn't...

If they let all these happen, that is on them.

I am not affected by it.

I stopped at a Japanese grocery store near our subdivision. I'm planning to pig out and stay inside my room the whole day.

I don't want to show my face to anyone right now.

I sighed in relief when I noticed that there are only a few people inside the grocery. I went straight to the aisle where the instant noodles were.

I put three instant cup noodles inside my cart and two instant yakisobas. I also put a few bags of chips and went to the aisle where the chocolates were because I wanted a box of Meiji Macadamia.

I stilled when I saw Matt carrying the baby again but this time he was with Daphne. They were both in the area where the Macadamias are.
