(Y/N)'s pov
Waking up is so much easier when you're excited for something. I mean, who wouldn't be excited about spending time with the two most adorable baby skeletons you've ever seen! But before they wake up, I need to do a quick inventory check.
Granny is also still asleep, so I should be able to find something from the baby boxes before breakfast. So, downstairs we go..
.
.
There's a lot more boxes than I remember seeing last night.
Erratum's pov
When did I go to sleep? How? Quickly thought over what happened yesterday, lingering a second on those cookies, that might've led up to what was considered impossible.
Then it hit me. The character screen. I pulled it up again, only to see the same thing I saw last night. It closed as I leaned back into the bed, pondering this.
I'm really mortal now? How does that work? My strings are still there, but what about everything else? Time for a break from my thoughts to test this out.
But before I could, a very muffled crash came from downstairs. Carefully, I put Null and Void, who were still sleeping on my ribs, down onto the bed and slowly left the room. All the lights were off, but easy to navigate from the sunlight streaming through the window. Cautiously, I made my way down towards the noise.

(Back to you)I will make my cousins and brother rue the day they thought it was all right to stack boxes of clothes that high. I mean, holy heck, I know there aren't that many shelves, but that does not mean you're allowed to stack them up to the ceiling!
Curse their six foot tallness!
The boxes that fell aren't even the ones I need! Why are we keeping all of these anyways? Can't we donate about half of this? I'm calling fire hazard!
While I'm weaving through the avalanche zone, something shifted by the door.
"Hello?" I popped my head around a stack, almost falling over a fallen box, to see Erratum crouching in the doorway.
"Oh, Erratum. Sorry if I woke you, I was just looking for some boxes of clothes for the kids." He ducked his head down more, keeping it down slightly so his head wouldn't scrap the ceiling. I can't even touch it if I jumped, so I'm a little concerned for his neck right now. "You don't have to come in if you feel uncomfortable. It's probably not that great for your neck." He had made his way to me by then, stopping close enough to remind me how much he towers over me.
"I'm alright, it's barely noticeable. Would you like some help before you get hurt?" That's when I noticed that he could read the labels on the top boxes better than I can. And yeah, this room is nothing but hazards now.
"Ok, let's get to it!"
Twenty minutes later, next to the running washing machine in the next room.
"I can't believe we only found one box." The moving machine made it hard to rest my hands on it while groaning into them, but not by much. "I guess my sister never brought back the baby supplies after the twins grew out of them. Sorry about that." The skeleton sitting next to me just chuckled.
"It's alright, siblings can be quite the airheads at times." His face went from content to forlorn a lot faster than it took to find the box.
"Do you miss them?" He looked up a couple inches to me at the question. "Sorry, the look on your face makes it look like you lost any siblings you had to… certain circumstances. I can stop prying if you want."
