Chapter 11
"Calm Before The Storm"
YOUR POV
I found myself slowly waking up, laying in the back of a car. Warm leather greets my skin, small tinges of sweat dripping off my shoulder. Taking in my surroundings, I notice that the drive is headed to the office.
Wait...
"D-Danny?"
He then turns his head, a small smile appearing.
"Good to see you awake babygirl, are you hungry?"
I nod, he slows the car to the side, holding his hand. Without any resistance, I take it and pull myself up to the front his car. I wrap myself in Danny's jacket, staying warm.
"Jeremy was behind the entire thing-" I squeak.
"Yes I kinda figured, I think your dad had a hand to play in this."
Is he serious?
"What makes you say that?"
He clears his throat.
"We are headed to see the commissioner, he has something to tell us."
After we grab something to eat, we head to the office.
New York Police Department
11:40 pm
Finally after getting something to eat, we decided that we have no choice but to go the commissioner's office to see what we were called in for. I couldn't help but become nervous about why we were being called in. I then moved in with Cassie (Y/N) to the office.
The commissioner then was standing in front of his desk, looking clearly irritated at us. I then stood tall, trying to not look so bothered.
"You guys alright?" the commissioner asks, avoiding eye contact with us. I then look around awkwardly, trying to figure out the proper answer.
"Yes. She had gotten abducted from Tyler Moore and Jeremy Stratter. Me and Detective Baez hunted down her phone through the database and found the ip address that we could track it." I state.
He simply nodded.
"Scott, you are dismissed."
With that, she left out of the room. Leaving just me and the commissioner in the room.
"Danny, we need to have two talks."
I nodded.
"First one being these." he dropped a pack of divorce papers down in front of me, the loud sound hitting the wood right in front of me. His gaze was stone cold, even I was intimidated. I grabbed a pen and started to mark down the dates and my signature to all the papers. Even in the back of my head, all I could think about was my kids and then Cassie (Y/N). Our whole relationship started that second day we met.. But yet It feel like a normal relationship, a pure one that I felt an unconditional love in. Besides, Linda is messing with Jeremy, so it works out anyways.
After handing back the paperwork, my dad then turns away from me.
"You and Scott are discharged as partners." my dad says coldly.
