(may or may not be a pilot chapter)

"Master Jin! Are you seriously gonna let that dumbass here?!" The young darkish blue haired male exclaimed to the older stoic male.

"Why is that, Rei...?" The man known as Jin asked his half-demon servant. "Did Inuyasha do something wrong...?"

"That bastard! He's eating all the goodies we cooked for all of us! I'm gonna kill him!" Rei snapped.

Inuyasha perks his head in the room with a half-eaten rice ball in hand, "Yeah so! You snatched mine, so I snatched yours, you pipsqueak!"

"Liar! You stole mine!" Rei argued.

Jin watched the two arguing over the rice ball. The male closed his eyes and let out a sigh, causing the two knuckleheads to freeze when they sensed a menace aura coming from the God of the Spirit.

"Inuyasha...Rei..." Jin said, causing the duo to flinch and cowered under his glare. "There are some of the children sleeping. Be good boys and be quiet."

"Y-yes, sir."

Jin softened his glares and sighed before letting out a chuckle and embraced the boys, "It's not like I will stay mad at you. I still love you two."

Inuyasha blushed and moved away from the male, "D-don't say stupid shit like that!"

"You loved me more, right?" Rei asked the male, causing Inuyasha to flinch and push him away from Jin.

"Back off! He said both of us!" Inuyasha growled.

"So what?!" Rei growled, headbutt the white haired demon.

"You wanna fight?!" Inuyasha snapped.

"Let's go!"

BONK!

The two half-demons were now face planting on the floor with large bumps on their heads.

"Enough..."

"Y...yes, sir..."

It was midnight, Inuyasha and Rei were asleep inside the hut while Jin was outside with a scythe in hand. He was slowly making his way into a dark forest. Inside the forest, he encountered a raven haired man.

"...So you have come." The raven haired man mumbled.

"Why did you come back...? To toture me again?" Jin glared.

The raven haired male chuckled, "Are you still thinking about that night? I really enjoy it all."

Jin gritted his teeth at those memories, "Shut up..."

The raven haired man sighed, "It'll be a shame for me to harm you. Even if I killed you, I won't dispose of your body, but instead I have other plans for your body. It'll be a shame to dispose of it..."

Modern year...

In a dark shrine, a woman was kneeling before a elderly woman while holding a lifeless baby in arms.

"Can you help him, please?" The mother begged. "I cannot lose him, mother."

"This child...is dead." The elderly woman mumbled, gently grabbing the lifeless baby from her daughter's arm. She doesn't understand how her daughter brought her newborn child from the hospital and brought him here. "I will see what I can do to help my grandson, but I'm going to need some privacy."

The mother nodded with understanding and exited from the shrine. The elderly priestess gently placed the baby in the middle of the floor. She grabbed her red gemstone necklace and held it towards her chest, praying under her breath.

Watching outside the shrine in the distance, a ghostly figure was watching the light blooming inside the shrine.

"So...we have a newborn...? It's going to be a failure." The spirit thought. "Yurei, you should realize that you cannot save anyone no longer. Many attempts, you-"

He stopped him mid-sentence. He turned towards the shrine in shock when he heard the baby crying. He watched as everyone surrounded the shrine.

"Yurei...don't tell me, you..." the spirit mumbled with shock.

Present...

Eighteen years after Yurei's death, [Y] visits her grave on his birthday every year after his grandmother gave up her life to save her newborn grandson. On his eighteenth birthday, he visits the Higurashi shrine to meet with Grandfather Higurashi, who's a friend of Grandmother Yurei.

"Ah, [Y]. Welcome back. Still visiting your grandmother's grave?" Mr. Higurashi asked.

"Yes, sir." [Y] nodded before glancing over at a girl, who seems to be similar to the girl he saw while on his way to school. The raven haired girl flinched at his gaze.

"This is my granddaughter, Kagome. Kagome, this is Ogami [Y], the grandson of my late friend, Ogami Yurei." Higurashi introduced. "He's also working as a shrine maiden."

[Y] turned to Kagome and bowed to her, "Nice to meet you, Kagome. I've heard that you were next to me in class and we haven't spoken to each other before."

"Grandson??? Shrine maiden? I thought he was a girl! He's so pretty tho. He's so quiet and mysterious." Kagome thought. "There's rumors that the Ogami Clan can communicate with the spiritual world, but I wouldn't believe something like that..."

"I-It's nice to meet you, too. Sorry if grandpa told you some lame tales." Kagome apologized.

"Lame...? I don't see what's so lame about the story. It was all true." [Y] admitted. "Of course, not many believe the story since they're teenagers now."

"Today is [Y]'s birthday and he's here to hear more of the story of the Ogami Clan that was passed on through generations." Mr. Higurashi told Kagome. "How about I tell you-"

"Goodnight." Kagome wave, exiting the shrine, causing Higurashi to fall face-first on the floor.

"...That girl..." Higurashi whined before quickly recovering and began to tell a story to [Y].
