The Takers have a system, one every American now has to fear.
They kidnap whole families. They slowly kill the parents in front of the kids, then torture the kids. Some kids they sell to sex chains, or as working slaves.
Some they just kill.
But no one, NO ONE, has ever escaped the Takers' clutch.
Their numbers overwhelm those of the police and Army, so more are volunteering every day. There's only so much they can do, but they try.
The beginning of the end of my life started on a normal day, on a drive with my parents and brothers.
