Before zetsu could do a thing snakes bit into both sides cause them to be paralyzed.
"Damnit he noticed us/I told you this would be bad/shut up!"
Orochimaru flashed Infront of them slamming a paralysis seal on them.
"I bet your surprised and shocked but you see I wasn't just eyeing up Itachi back when I was a member of the Akatsuki I knew that you were something special and I plan on taking my sweet time studying you"
"You don't know what your getting yourself into/y-yeah what if Pain finds you after this"
"oh don't worry about that besides I only need one of you so apologies but your going have to die black zetsu"
Orochimaru made a phew one handed handsigns.
"Fire style: seering palm"
He grasped black Zetsu as he was heating up his body melting until flames engulfed him as he screamed until he was nothing but ash White Zetsu was burned as well but Orochimaru didn't pay any mind and summoned a above average sized snake that swallowed white Zetsu before disappearing.
"What a fool usually people would think twice before being so careless near me but his stupidity landed in my favor"
His instincts kick in as he turned and clashed his kusanagi blade with the Kiba blades.
"You almost had your chance it's been a while Ameyuri Ringo so which side are you on"
"Well that's what I'm supposed to be asking you rogue snake"
Lightning was channeled through the blades but Orochimaru also channeled lightning through his own blade and redirected it into the ground causing a explosion.
"Well I'm more interested in supporting the side of the bloodlines as for why that's for me to know"
"Heh that's not very convincing "
"Are you sure you want to do this I could just kill you and continue on my way"
"Yes but someone will surely see you do that and you we wouldn't be in good standing"
"Hm that's a very good point but let me ask you this why are you on the rebels side and not just go rogue like your other comrades in arms?"
"Simple as a bloodline user myself it's in my best interest that Yagura doesn't continue his mad quest"
"Well me and your leader have struck an agreement we're in a battlefield so it's not the best time for me to go on a spiel"
"Hm your right about that very well but as soon as this is over I'll be back"
She sped back to support the Frontline using her lightning charged blades to devastate an already pushed back enemy due to Mei despite not being all that impressive to Orochimaru was doing well with her forces.
"Looks like everything is going my way though I could just end the battle myself"
"Yes why don't you"
Orochimaru's eyes widen before turning blocking a black rod from the masked man.
"How did you get here so fast"
"I have my ways though I could just kill you luckily I managed to find a scrap of black Zetsu he really thought it was safe to approach you how foolish he can be sometimes"
He pulled a flask with a frowning zetsu inside.
"You should just kill him he's too big of threat to our operation here"
The masked man glared at him.
"Correct yourself I chose to be involved not you"
He looked back at Orochimaru.
"I don't care for Zetsu so I won't ask for him what I want is that ring hand it over or die"
The masked man's eyes glowed with power taking a step forward was enough for Orochimaru to relent as he couldn't afford to fail his operation in the mist so he took the ring and tossed at to him which he easily caught.
"I'm glad you know your limits Orochimaru I'll leave you for now but cross me again and there won't be any talking"
The Masked man sucked himself with Zetsu into a swirling vortex before disappearing after a minute of waiting to see if they would come back Orochimaru slammed his fist into the ground causing cracks to form in the earth.
'Madara Uchiha he believes he's above me so much with that damned ability of his unfortunately I can't send anyone confidently strong enough to test how that ability works though I have a feeling it comes from his eyes but if the legends are true he can basically keep it active with no consequence unlike Itachi who is far above me even if he is near blind now I have a feeling he could kill me without much thought of I just can't wait to show those 2 so proudly showing those red eyes however even if I'd never miss any opportunity to stab them in the back Sasuke is my ticket to mess with Itachi he has such a good poker face but that day I looked at his eyes after being humiliated there was something he's been hiding from everyone and I'll find out what it is'
The sanin looked back at the battle going on and saw that Yagura's men were being dealt with surprisingly quick for a battle so he appeared beside Mei deciding to drive a final nail in this first confrontation.
"Seems like you're not incompetent that's a very important for a leader to know what they're doing"
"You've been on the battlefield and haven't decided to step in that's not very convincing for a partnership"
"Hm the wars just begun don't say such things so early besides you'd be dead if not for my earlier display and I needed to see if your forces were competent as well and for what I could see you have a 60% chance of victory and that's rare for any rebellions in this world we live in"
"Still if we're going to be working this point forward let's both take this seriously people still died today that wouldn't have if there weren't any short comings"
"Very well I'll take responsibility for the casualties that could have lessened if I was involved but pray tell do you have an idea on where you can bolster your ranks?"
Mei pulled a scroll from her robe and untied it unraveling a map of the mist with markers drawn in specific points.
"These are where the surviving clans are on the south shore are where the hozuki are located and we recently got word of movement coming close to they're area"
"Hm that's the plan then is their anyone else I should meet?"
"Of course not your still a rogue"
"Hmhmhmhm alright then I can't wait to see what surprises come our way in this partnership"
