Lincoln and his daughter were at the station, exactly where Michael told them to go. They kept their heads down, or at least tried to, as Lincoln had noticed a patrol officer hanging around the platform.
Currently they were waiting for Michael to call, with the next step. But, something was wrong. He was taking too long, and both Lincoln and Lily had started to realize they were getting a few looks and some unwanted attention.
One man, who sat across from where they were standing, was reading a newspaper. Inside, unbeknownst to the father and daughter, he was reading a 3 page spread that included photos of the very people standing in front of him. He and Lincoln exchanged glances, but Lincoln put his head down and turned away as soon as it happened, not wanting to arouse any more suspicion than there already had been.
The middle aged man before them casually got up and approached the patrol officer who paced the platform a few yards away. Lily quickly looked up and realized they'd been spotted. Found out.
"DAD. They know who we are!" she quietly screamed at her father, who spun around and shared a fierce stare down with the patrol officer who said something into his walkie talkie. He knew.
"Lily. We're running. GO!" Lincoln quickly demanded, before pushing his daughter in front of him to get her a head start. If anything happened to him, at least she'd be able to get away. He had hoped.
Frantically, they ran and ran all the way to the end of the platform, bumping into and pushing people out of the way in the process, none of whom really seemed to understood what was happening.
Lily heard her dad and the officer collide with the ground behind her, and stopped running to see what was going on. They were on the ground, scuffling, the officer managing to land a punch or 2 on her father.
"Dad!"
Lincoln got control of the situation and escaped his grip, getting up again.
"Keep going baby!"
They had just about reached the exit and were about to make a break for it when a cop car suddenly pulled up, causing Lily to slightly flip into the air and barrel into the ground. They were both on the ground now, facing each other, being handcuffed by more officers who made it to the scene.
"Lily!" he cried, "get off me, please! She's only 16, let me help her!" Lincoln growled, one side of his face pressed into the floor as he tried to shake off he cop putting him into handcuffs.
"I'm - OK dad" Lily said in between breaths, "Just hurts a little. Everywhere" she replied back, her face pressed into the tarmac too while a different officer cuffed her.
"I'm scared Dad. Tell me it's going to work isn't it? The plan is going to work right?" Lily whispered, so the officers wouldn't hear.
"It will, I promise.." Lincoln answered, looking his daughter in her beautiful hazel eyes. "I love you Lil ok? Michael and Sara will get us out, and we'll figure it out later, trust me baby... The Company isn't getting away with it"
"I know Dad. I know."
