Sylvana's POV

That plant demon who calls itself Lust has Stein and Athena wrapped with thorny vines midair No way...

I can't help my tears from flowing out my eyes.

The plants beside Lust are about to fire that light attack at us...

...but why should we struggle? The difference of strength between us and that monster is vast. We definitely won't stand a chance against it...

Lust chuckled and she threw Stein and Athena's corpses towards us Here you go, at least you get to die near them!

I immediately went forward and caught Stein on my arms. Lorden caught Athena then saying Have you no respect for the dead?!

So, what are they going to do? Get offended? She laughed at her own sarcasm Well, as what they say - dead men tell no tales.

I look at Stein's body, he definitely has puncture wounds all over his body that no doubt that he's dead. I took a closer look...

...and...

Lorden first said That's unusual, why is it...

He finished what he said while I thought the same words he said.

I looked at the Woodelves that suffered the same treatment as Stein and Athena. A pool of blood is present on the floor where they lay.

Third person's POV

Lust grinned Say goodbye, mortals. The flowers opened and are about to fire the beam-like attack when the large shuriken on the left side plant exploded a puff of black smoke; then a glint and a single swish of a blade cut the flower off its stem!

The smoke disappeared and, to Sylvana's great surprise, she saw the living figure of Stein as he just cut down the flower!

The body that Lorden and Sylvana are holding exploded to a puff of smoke!

Lust is shocked to see him beside her all of a sudden that she immediately summoned and surrounded Stein with giant flytrap plants!

Stein thought So much for a surprise attack, it's a waste that I didn't get to kill her.

The plants chomped down on him but he's a step ahead of them and leaped high in the air then tossing his scythe up This better be worth it. He made several hand signs with fire attributes, he put his right hand's index and middle finger in front of his mouth and blew hard - a shower of flame headed for the plants and incinerating them!

Lust growled with anger as she got one-upped and controlled her vines from the ceiling down on him.

Stein just caught his scythe as it fell then started slashing the incoming vines about to pierce him.

A vine came striking down to pierce him but he timingly pushed his foot on the vine to push himself up slightly and slashed down on it Hmph.

He threw his scythe towards the floor and he performed earth attribute signs Here goes.

He landed on both his feet that a large chunk of rock leaped off the rocky floor.

Stein braced himself, he leapt towards it and kicking it towards Lust like a kepori!

Since it was kicked, it traveled with nearly thrice the speed than being punched!

Lust is shocked to see the chunk of earth hurtling towards her! She just stood on the spot and, with her right hand glowing light green, she merely thrusted her hand at the rock and it split in half.
