Episode 27: Are we losers or lovers?

That night, the boys went to sleep sharing the same bed once more.

This time, however, not a single tear was being shed.

There was no tension.

Finally, after long months of confusion and anger, there was finally peace.

Thus, the boys slept restfully, without waking up in the middle of the night.

When they woke up the next morning, all of them admitted that they haven't felt this refreshed in an extremely long time.

So, because they were happy about that factor, Soobin decided to order all their favorite meals off the McDonald's breakfast menu, and it arrived pretty quickly too. After setting the table in Yeonjun and Beomgyu's dorm, the boys settled down in the chairs and hungrily dug into their food, which tasted twice as good today.

"I still can't believe we actually stood face to face to... DAY6!" Taehyun exclaimed.

"I know right?! We even got to hug them!" Yeonjun added.

"That still feels so damn surreal... like, someone pinch me!" Kai said.

"I think your orange juice is enough to help prove you're awake," Beomgyu responded.

"Haha."

"I keep thinking about their advice to us... it was really helpful," Soobin remarked.

"I agree."

Beomgyu sighed and took a sip from his coffee.

"So... we really are gonna do this?"

Yeonjun nodded.

"We have to. I know it's hard, especially for both of us, but... this beautiful chapter has officially come to an end."

"It was beautiful indeed," Taehyun sighed.

Kai stood up.

"We should write a new song."

"Didn't we release Run Away just a few months ago?" Soobin questioned.

"Yes I know, but we all know that songwriting takes time. So, we should definitely get working on it so we can release it as quickly as possible. I also think... we should really pack it up with our emotions and experience as artists."

Beomgyu glanced at Taehyun.

"What do you think?"

"Kai has always had good ideas... let's try it."

The boys cleared the table and Taehyun and Soobin busied themselves in washing the dishes and drying the plates (yes, they used plates instead of the plastic containers). Meanwhile, Kai looked for all their notepads, and felt nostalgic looking through his notes on Run Away.

If only we knew what would happen afterwards...

He snapped out of his thinking when all the boys sat down around him, equipped with pencils and pens along with some glasses of water.

"So, where do we start?" Soobin asked.

"We need a theme... but I'm not certain what," Kai responded.

Taehyun pursed his lips as he thought, and suddenly came up with an idea.

"You know... what if we write to some extent the song about us?"

"About us?" Yeonjun frowned.

"Yeah."

"I don't know how well songs talking about being musical artists do on the charts—" Beomgyu started.
