Rain pattered down. The stormy weather had finally caught up to the meadows.
A small, black streak dashed through the high grass, panting.
Got to get out of here
Just ahead was a forest. Her brow furrowed, She had to escape.
Lightning flickered above closely followed by the loud boom of thunder. Juno felt her paws slip on dark mud.
No, no, no!
With a thud she landed on her belly, letting her pursuers catch up. She scrambled into the grass and stay, quiet. An adult female wolf slowed down near her.
"Where did that rat go!" She snarled. Her dark fur was drenched in rain. Her threatening amber eyes glowed in the storm which seemed to grow darker each second that passed. Closely followed behind her was a dark gray male with a brown undercoat, almost Doberman-looking. He carried a small gray scrap that was almost unidentifiable. Juno could identify it though.
"No!" she squeaked. She quickly covered her mouth, but it was too late. The adult female's ears perked up. She started to check the grasses around her, her snarl turning into a grin. "Come out little one~ I just want to help you find your mama."
Everything went silent.
Everything went silent for too long.
Everything went silent except for the pitter patter of the rain.
Juno could see the female's amber eyes. Juno growled and scratched those perfect amber eyes. The female yelped.
"Storm!" The male dropped the scrap and rushed to her side. "Get off me you idiot!" Her raspy voice back to a snarl. Juno got up and ran to the gray bundle. "Bite!" She cried, wrapping around the body. "Please be okay.." She moved his head to face her.
His face and covered in dark, oozing, blood. She choked on her sob. "Bite! Bite!" His eyes were glazed without emotion. Behind her, the female named Storm got up. "Bite please come with me if your still there!" She got up and ran towards where she came from, up the hill. Maybe she could find someone at Weeping Woods to help her.
"Get her!" Storm sprinted at her. But Juno was already at the top. She frantically looked around and saw a rock, smaller than her, but it would work fine. She ran to it and started pushing it towards Storm and the male. Storm, being very fast, got in front of the male easily. Juno pushed harder and the rock slipped from her paws. It fell down the hill onto Storm's face.
Juno stood there and giggled at them as the two wolves struggled to process what had happened. She stopped and sighed. "Bye Bite..." And she ran down the hill to the Whispering Woods.
