Hi, my name is Oliver and I have dyslexia. I am in 11th grade I don't really have many friends because of my dyslexia. People think that just because you have dyslexia your different than everyone else but I'm not, I'm just like my mom my dad normal.
Just because I have dyslexia doesn't mean I'm any different than anyone, even you reading this story. It all started in 1st grade when it was my turn to read a book to the class i started off ok, "Clifford is a dog he is red," And then "Clifford is a dig red bog" But it was supposed to be 'Clifford is a big red dog' I was so scared I didn't know what was going on so my teacher took the book and she started reading.
My teacher told the principal about it and the principal told my parents and they had to come in and watch me read as soon as I started I messed up my mom must have known what was wrong because she started to cry.My schools speech therapist gave my parents a card for a dyslexia specialist to help. But we didnt know it was dyslexia even though my grandparents had it but but we thought it would be impossible for me to have dyslexia because it totally skipped right over my mom.
I was so nervous to visit the specialist I mean I've heard of specialist before but for like alcoholics and psychos and I'm not one although some people seem to think that I am.
After I went the first time I was happy to go every other day that I had to my mom thought it was because the therapy was actually helping but truthfully it wasn't it was kind of making things worse the reason I like was the therapist I mean hello that jawline and hair cut he's like a mix of channing Tatum and Justin beiber when he was hot.
