It was nearing the end of Golden Week. On the train heading towards Shinjuku Station, the train car surprisingly had very few occupants. Only ten people were riding on the train. But it was a group of four teenage boys, sitting together at one end of the car, that drew the attention of all the passengers.
"They look so cool and handsome!"
"One of them is wearing a Fendi™️ cardigan! And another—I saw that outfit at an Izreel™️ store! Those are designer brands! Are they in a boy band?"
"Maybe they're hosts!"
"No way, they look so young!"
'We'll be there shortly,' Satoru Kunihara texted onto his cell phone. Jet-black hair hung short on his head, and his bangs looked spiky and fell into his face. His glasses were a stark contrast to his otherwise cool appearance, but they did not take away from his appeal. He was frowning, but otherwise expressionless. He was the one who was dressed in a black and white outfit from Izreel™️.
To Satoru's right sat the boy wearing the blue Fendi™️ cardigan over a dark shirt with white pants. He had short but thick shaggy hair that had been recently dyed auburn red. He was sprawled leisurely in his seat, arm draped over the back of the seat and his legs spread. He was grinning toothily, and he had a spark of excitement in his eyes. This was Hikaru Miyazawa.
Across from them sat Akira Inoue and Kazunari Yoshiaki. Akira was still smaller than his friends, and he looked more pretty than handsome. His black hair was long and hung to his shoulders, though he currently had it tied in a ponytail. He looked like he was playing a game on his cell phone, because his eyes didn't look up once from the small screen. He was dressed in Colcci™️ brand clothing consisting of a red polo shirt and dark blue jeans.
Kazunari had a neutral expression that one would easily mistake for irritation. He wore his black hair in a Caesar-style cut. Like Satoru he was wearing Izreel™️ brand clothing but his shirt was smoky gray while his leggings were black. He was visibly the tallest out of the group, but he did not have the disposition as leader.
Satoru's cell phone hummed in his hand, and he checked the text message he received. "Ryoma's waiting for us at the station," he announced.
"It's easy for him living in Shinjuku to be so close to all the great clubs," Hikaru complained, but his cheery disposition showed that he was joking around. "Are we going to White Atom again?"
"The owner called the cops on us last time," Kazunari reminded him. "So we probably shouldn't."
"Ah, what does that matter?" Akira said, looking up. "Remember that one time we got into a scuffle with the bouncer at Pristine? That same guy didn't bat an eye when we showed up the following week!"
"Too many bars have banned us as it is!" Hikaru shook his head. "We don't go there in school uniform, and I know I've seen our classmates at these bars, but they always target us! They shouldn't be yelling at us for drinking underage when they don't card anybody!"
"Well we do have a reputation at these places," Akira said, smiling cheekily. "We've been involved in a few fights."
"We don't pick the fights though," Kazunari said quietly. "But we do finish them."
The train reached Shinjuku Station. The other passengers remained awestruck as Satoru and the others disembarked the train. Similarly, several other people on the platform also stopped to gape at the group as they headed into the station proper. Just on the other side of the subway turnstiles however, the group saw a familiar face waving at them.
"It's about time you guys showed up!" Ryoma called out them good-naturedly. He wore a Beams™️ brand outfit of a navy blue hoodie and tan-colored jeans. Like Hikaru though he had recently dyed his spiky-fringe short hair, though he had chosen a dark blonde shade. "Let's go! Nichō is waiting for us!"
