Kyro watched her from a distance as she got into her car to head home from the grocery store. He'd been watching her for weeks, and saw just how predictable she was. Monday through Thursday, she went to work and then the gym. After going to the gym, she'd go straight home for the rest of the night. On Friday's though, she worked a half day, went to the gym, and then the grocery store. Once home, she didn't leave again until Monday morning. She never had house guests, so that made it extremely easy for him to watch her without being seen.
He stood in the tree line as she got into her car and left. He gave it a few minutes before getting into his truck and following. Tonight would finally be the night that he pounced. It just so happened to be a full moon as well, which made him even more excited. He could feel the itchiness on his forehead and back. Just a little bit longer...
On his way to her house, he made note that he had everything that he needed. Rope, scissors, and towels were laid neatly beside him in an open duffel bag. He glimpsed the handcuffs that he'd put in there just in case. It could get pretty messy and depending on how much fighting there was, he might need something stronger than rope.
He got to the house just as she had pulled the last bag from her car and headed inside. He would drive a mile or so down the road to stash his truck in a nice little wooded alcove to keep it from being seen by anyone happening to drive by. This area wasn't too populated and most of the houses were a good 200ft apart from each other, but there was still a chance of someone spotting his truck if he wasn't careful. While most of the neighbors opted for the larger backyards and smaller front yards, she had opted for just the opposite, it seemed. Her house was set back far enough off the road that a passerby couldn't readily see inside the large windows.
The sun was just starting to set, but he decided to wait in his truck until the moon rose high in the sky. By then, most of the neighborhood would be hunkered down in their houses for the night. You never knew what might be wandering around during a full moon...
Soon, the sun had set, and the moon became the only source of light for miles. Kyro left his truck where he had parked it and made his way to her house with his bag of goodies. As he got closer, he made sure to keep to away from the areas where the light shown from inside the house. He wouldn't want to ruin the surprise of his unannounced visit.
Crouching down near and low hanging tree, he glance from window to window until he finally spotted her. Dressed in only a silk nighty the color of a dark red wine, she carried a book and a bag of snacks towards the stairs. Kyro glanced at his watch and noted the time. Even at home she couldn't help but be predictable. She went to bed at the same time every night, whether it was a weekday or weekend. He supposed that when you never had visitors, it was easy to keep the same routine. As she went through the house, the rooms behind her went dark one by one. Finally, the only light that could be seen shown on the staircase from the second floor hallway. Soon those lights also turned off as she made her way into her room.
She was making this far too easy... Where was the thrill when they damn near wrapped themselves up with a pretty bow just waiting to be torn open? No, this wouldn't be how this night went. Kyro had put far too much time and work into this for it to be this easy. The fact that it fell on a full moon made it that much more important!
Snapping his fingers, a car alarm could be heard suddenly going off at the front of the house. It took a few seconds of it persistently going off for the woman to be seen coming back down the stairs and going towards the front door. Kyro moved just far enough that he could see her step outside and repeatedly push something in her hand. He assumed it was her key fob, but unfortunately for her it wouldn't work unless he let it. Watching the woman become increasingly more frustrated as she started to jab one of the buttons brought a smirk to Kyro's lips. Something so small but so entertaining. A few minutes of watching her become more and more animated to get it to turn off, he finally let it. She sighed in frustrated relief and made her way back inside.
