Prologue

So I have this idea - that all humans are created equally and should be treated equally, well too bad I'm not human.

I mean, you could say I mean, but then that would mean I would have to treat every single person equally but, I couldn't do that.

You see there's some humans who are so beautiful but there blood is disgusting, it has that metallic taste to it and just isn't pleasant to taste. Then there's those other humans who are the ugliest creatures and yet their blood is the most powerful, most delicious for our kind.

Now, I think you've realised that I'm not an ordinary human - I'd never wish to be one either, I'm happy as what I am.

I'm a catpire - it's Latin for being half cat, half vampire, so now you know why I said I wasn't human because I'm not.

While humans fear the darkness, I love bathing in the darkness where the unknown lurks. While humans not dare eat another human, I love taste of human flesh on my sharp, canine teeth.

I am Elizanina Empriar and I am proud to be a catpire.
