To say the least, Irene Bae was good at whatever she do -- to her profession down to washing and ironing her clothes. That's why she's the CEO's favorite on her company. She's more than competent in her work and she does not allow any error or mistake, everything should be perfect in her keen eyes. Everything must fall exactly on what she planned or else something -- or rather someone would definitely taste her wrath. She will take anything that comes knocking on her door and conquer it.
So when the CEO herself requested her to interview a very famous baseball player, she didn't even flinch in accepting it, and since the project itself was very important hence she agreed.
Of course she knew who Kang Seulgi is, everyone in South Korea knows that name. The baseball player was the one who made their team won their first international baseball league. It was a month ago and every Korean citizens were buzzed at this, but Kang Seulgi decides it is best to keep silent after winning the game. She has never accepted any interview from any journalist so if Irene can clinch a deal with her, she would definitely get the promotion she wanted.
But she was totally unprepared to see an onslaught of beauty in one person, the pictures -- she had been stalking the baseball player, tho she preferred to call her actions gathering information -- on social media did no justice to what Kang Seulgi really looked like in the flesh (and her slight tanned caramel-like flesh, probably from all those times she spent under the sun, was making Irene delirious). Irene was sure she haven't feel attracted to someone so strongly before, and seeing her muscled arms -- not too much muscles, just enough for Irene to want to reach out and run her hands around them -- when she's wearing a dri-fit shirt made the brunette bit her lower lip to suppress the sinful groan that she almost let out. Her mind was raising to hundreds of thoughts on what was in store for her behind the clothes the player wore.
The sudden clearing of throat snapped Irene out of her not-so-innocent imagination, she also almost snapped the neck to whoever interrupted her musing but then remembered the job she should be doing instead of ogling to her interviewee. This never happened to her before, no one has ever made Irene Bae get sidetracked to her work, she doesn't let any interventions bug her mind, she focuses solely on what she needs to do in order for it to finish on time, but with Kang Seulgi it's different.
Irene can sit forever while admiring the player's too-perfect-for-this-world's features, and what's this kind of intensity her stare towards her hold? Now that she was not fixed with her perfectly crafted arms, she was held captive with the pair of monolidded eyes instead. There was wonder, admiration, confusion, interest, and passion swarming in Kang Seulgi's warm brown orbs that left Irene breathless at the same time made her feel giddy.
"Miss Bae? Is something wrong?" When the clearing of her throat deems ineffective, Kang Seulgi's manager choses that words are needed.
Irene doesn't want to look away from those eyes, but the voice and her work prompts her to break their intense -- and probably sexual -- eye contact. "Nothing's wrong, I was just... evaluating Miss Kang over here." She saw how the raven squirmed slightly when she dragged her voice at her last statement, loving the reaction she got from the professional player.
"I g-guess that's necessary for the interview." The manager was clearly perplexed with what Irene said but didn't question it.
"I haven't agreed yet."
It was the first time Irene heard her voice and yet she wanted to hear it more, maybe even hear it say her name in a tone sinful enough for a child to not hear.
"Seulgi! We talked about it before! You need to do the interview whether you like it or not!"
Kang Seulgi didn't so much as to flinch hearing her manager's reprimanding and scolding, her eyes was still on a certain journalist who was also eyeing her.
