Chapter 9 & 10

Chapter 9

Jordan and Jacoby are finally back from Canada. Jordan was getting ready to start a new chapter in her life with Jacoby and their baby. It was now May, and she was graduating from the academy and Jacoby and she had a surprise to everyone who came to the graduation party. The Fire House all knew about how they were engage but no one knew about the baby except the Olympic team and Will. They were going to break the news to all their friends and family after she graduated. No one really saw Jordan she was always inside because she didn't want to show the bump until she was made to. So she put on her cap and gown and went to the ceremony. When she got back to her house Jacoby and she had bought in March which in fact met all their needs. They were really close to the fire house which awesome for both of them. She and Jacoby started to set up for the party and Jordan hadn't been feeling good for a little bit she thought maybe it was just the baby. But it wasn't and she felt the symptoms come on so she ran in the house and got on the bed and laid there for a little bit. Jacoby didn't even know where Jordan went; he went upstairs to see if she was in the bedroom. She was but she was having a seizure but she was conscious during this one. Jacoby was sitting there and watching the clock because if it lasted longer than five minutes he would have to call 911. After two minutes she was fine. She got up and did work but Jacoby kept a close eye on her. It was now three o'clock pm, the party had just started. From Jordan side of the family she didn't really have any except a few aunts, uncle and a couple of cousins. But Jacoby side was bigger, he had his parents, sisters, brothers, nieces/nephews and cousins all came for the big surprise. From the Fire House the chief, Will and a couple of other guys came but the people who were on shift couldn't come. The house decided to all chip in and buy Jordan the basic things for being a paramedic. Everyone was finally ready for cake. Jordan and Jacoby were the only ones who weren't ready at all. Everyone gather around the table, Jordan and Jacoby deciding the best way to say they were pregnant was on the cake. But they still said out loud too. Jacoby said, "Everyone Jordan and I are engage," Jordan added," I am pregnant!!!" Most of the people were in shocked especially the Chief. Chief asked if he could talk to her and Jacoby. Of course they said yes because it was their boss. Chief said," Jacoby and Jordan as you both know I have a strict policy with people dating in my house. But since Jordan you were not at my house during the time you got pregnant. You can stay at the station. Also congratulations to you two! Jordan I will let you work with us up until after Lake Wood Days then you will be put on leave. Do to you can't lift a lot of things. By the way can you start Monday the same time as Jacoby? Alright thanks!" Jacoby and Jordan just nodded their heads in shock of what the Chief had said. Jordan replied, "Sure thing!"

Chapter 10

Jordan was so excited to be able to work with people who worked with her dad and her fiancé. On her first day the chief gave Jordan, her dad's locker and let her ride around with Jacoby. Jacoby and Jordan did have a lot of calls that day which gave them little time to talk. But one thing they did talk about was baby names. Jordan really wanted to have a boy so the she picked was Colby Shea. But Jacoby had in mind was totally different and it was Jason Ryan. Jordan didn't mind that name but if she was going to name her kid with a J name it will have to been something they both agree on. Jacoby suggested," How about we wait until we go to the doctor to pick out the names." Jordan added," Fine. Let's go to the station." So they went back to the Station and unpacked their gear from the truck and went home. Jordan and Jacoby got up in the morning to go to the doctors to find out what type of gender the baby was going to be. After the nurses did the ultra sound they found out what gender it was going to be. The doctor came into the room and announced, "Jordan and Jacoby you are having a boy." Jordan and Jacoby were so happy that they were going to have a boy. When Jordan and Jacoby got home, Jacoby texted Will what the gender of the baby was. Will then replied to Jacoby,"Make sure you have Drew's name in there OK.' Jacoby agreed with that so when they got home Jordan was online searching for baby names. They both like Jacoby Drew, Jacoby likes it because it includes Jordan dad's name in it and it includes Jacoby dad's name in it. In July, Jordan had her baby shower and she gets the everything she needs and wants. Her favorite gift was from the Fire House it was a cute little Fireman outfit with on the back it said Lake Wood Fire Department. Jordan and Jacoby got another cute outfit that said, "My Paramedic Parents are my Hero's". Everyone loved how the shower was themed like the fire house. When they got home Jacoby had to unload everything while Jordan got ready for bed because she has to go in early. Jacoby finally got all of the stuff into the baby's room and then went to sleep. At 4 o'clock am, the alarm is off and Jordan and Jacoby are getting ready to go on shift. When they get to the house the alarm goes off so they hop in to the truck and get on their way to the call. It was a car accident and one of the Victims was pregnant and of course Jordan felt a connection. Jordan had dragged Jacoby to all those breathing classes and this lady was in labor. They all cut the women out of the car and took her to the ambulance. Jordan checked to see how dilated she was and it was at ten. It was time to push and while Jordan was delivering the baby she kept in small talk with the lady. Jordan asked her," Did you pick a name?" She answered," No I haven't because I didn't want to know the sex." Jordan adds," Well my fiancé is the one driving the ambulance right now and our son name is going to be Jacoby Drew," She adds," Speaking of a son here is yours." The lady was in shock she didn't know what to name him because the dad had walked out and then she asked, "Honey what is your name?' Jordan added," My name is Jordan and that is my fiancé Jacoby." The lady then said," Well my son's name is Jordan Jacoby Walker. How does that sound?" Jordan added," Great when your son grows up make sure to tell him he was deliver by a female Olympic ice hockey player/paramedic and be sure to say gold medalist." The lady then said," I will and thank you so much on helping me deliver this baby." Jordan quickly added before jumping out of the ambulance and said," Your Welcome! Now it makes me feel how grateful I should be now since I helped you." They wheeled in the lady and the nurse took over from there. Jacoby and Jordan finish up filling out paper works and on their way out after they go through the medical supplies Jacoby grabs Jordan from behind and kisses her and she kisses back. They were about to kiss some more before another call came in.
