"Alright," Mrs. Weasley began. "Lily, you can go first. Then Ginny. Then the boys."

I ran through the wall much easier than I did the first year and Ginny came behind me.

"Mum says you can go ahead if you want. She'll stay with me to make sure I have everything."

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit, Ginny."

"You too!"

I stepped onto the train and made my way to the compartment where me and the trio had met last year. It was buzzing with laughter and conversations and I got so distracted that I tripped over someone's bag. Unlucky for me, the bag belonged to Draco Malfoy.

He saw that I was the one tripped over his bag and scowled at me. "Watch where you going, you mud-"

"Okay. Okay. Sorry. I will. Bye now." I know it's rude to interrupt but I needed to stop him from saying anything. I wanted nothing more than to get away from the blond-haired bully. I felt as though if I heard him say "mudblood" one more time, I would "accidentally" punch him in the face.

After a few minutes of searching, I looked through the glass window of one of the compartments to my right and saw Hermione sitting alone. I opened the door and sat next to her.

"Hey! I didn't see you at Diagon Alley earlier, how'd your summer go?"

"It was good. I told my parents all about magic and you and the boys. I'm going to miss them, but I'm glad to be back."

"Me too!"

"Oh, Lily, have you seen Harry and Ron? I thought we were going to meet here but I haven't seen them yet."

"I saw them at King's Cross but I was told to go ahead so I don't know where they are."

"I hope they're alright."

"I'm sure they're fine, Mrs. Weasley was with them. If we don't see them on the train then we'll definitely see them in the Great Hall for the sorting ceremony."

"You're right, they'll be fine."

"Hello dears," we heard a voice call from the door. "Would you like anything from the trolly?"

"I'm alright," Hermione said after looking over the snacks in the woman's cart. "Thank you."

"Yeah, I'm good, too. Thanks."

"Alright. Enjoy the ride, girls." She closed the door and walked to the next compartment

The train ride seemed to go by much quicker than it had the previous year. Hermione and I stepped off the train and onto the boats that carried us to Hogwarts. Although I had already seen the castle before, it was so magnificent that I had to stare up at it in a haze.

We entered the school and sat down at the Gryffindor table next to Fred and George. Then the first years began piling in.

They were sorted into their according houses and when it was Ginny's turn, the twins made sure to make silly faces to try and distract her. She was sorted into Gryffindor, as were all the other Weasleys, and walked happily to our table.

"Congrats Ginny!" Hermione greeted as she sat down next to me.

"Thanks Hermione," Ginny blushed. "I was really hoping to be in Gryffindor."

"Well what other house did you expect to be sorted into?" One of the twins asked, I think it was Fred, but I couldn't tell them apart yet. "Hufflepuff?"

"No, too mean." The other twin said, now I thought this was Fred. "Ravenclaw?"

"No, too dumb." The first twin teased. "Slytherin?"

Both twins shivered and burst out laughing. "Slytherin? Oh- that's a good one Georgie!" Now I was sure which twin was which. Unless they were playing a trick on me, in which case, I was completely lost.

The Weasley's and Hermione were having a good conversation so I decided to leave them and try to find Harry and Ron.

I hadn't seen most of the castle last year, so if I couldn't find the boys, then I would just explore the castle.

I ended up outside the school and sat on a bench. It was quite dark so I just sat alone and thought about how much I missed my family, mostly Caitlin.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear someone come and sit next to me. It was Hermione.

"What are you doing out here?" She asked me, shivering from the cold. I hadn't even noticed it was cold until now.

"Oh I don't know. I guess I just ended up out here and got lost in thought."

"Okay well I'm going back inside. You coming?"

"I think I'll stay here. But I'll go back to the common room in a bit."

"Alright, don't stay out here too long, you'll get sick."

"I'll be fine, go ahead." She stood up and walked away. I was alone again in the silence for a good 5 minutes before I heard a loud ruckus coming from a tree.

I looked to see what was causing such a loud noise and saw a flying car being tossed and beaten by a tree of some sort. But what was worse was that inside of the car Ron and Harry were sitting in the front seats.

The tree was attacking them and smashing the windows for about 4 minutes before the car eventually dropped out of its grasp and dumped the two boys out, then drove itself away.

Harry stumbled to get up and gather all of his scattered belongings while Ron was staring at his broken wand with a worried expression plastered on his face.

I ran to them to try and calm them down or at least calm down Ron. "Are you guys okay? Why were you in that flying car? And why was that weird tree attacking you?"

"We were going to run through the wall to get to platform 9 ¾ but it was sealed. So I got into my dad's car and flew it here and then crashed into the tree and then... ehh." Ron whined, still staring at the broken wand.

"What do we do now?" Harry asked as he began gathering Ron's belongings. "We're going to be in so much trouble."

"Do you guys want me to go with you?" I ask the two boys.

"No, it's fine, we'll just try and sneak in without anyone noticing us." Harry responded. "But thanks for helping Ron get all of his things." He smiled shyly and looked down at Hedwig who was still recovering from being thrown out of the flying car.

"Okay, well I'm going to go back inside cause it's getting a little cold. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I turned away from them and entered the castle.

"We're going to get expelled, aren't we?" I hear Ron's voice from behind getting quieter with each step further from them.

I was making my way back to the Great Hall and wondered if Harry and Ron were going to be expelled. I hoped they wouldn't but they did crash a flying car into a tree and if Snape found out, he would be furious. As I was getting deeper in though I crashed into a young girl causing her to drop her books on the floor.

I snapped myself back to reality and apologized. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I knelt down to help her pick up the books but she had already gathered them herself.

"It's fine, I wasn't really paying attention either." I noticed she looked a little younger than me and was wearing green robes.

"I'm Lily. Is this your first year at Hogwarts?"

"Yeah, it's my first year here. I was sorted into Slytherin an hour ago with my brother. Oh, I'm Jade by the way. Jade Crystal." I hadn't met many Slytherins and the few that I did know were not the best people. Unlike them, Jade seemed to be genuine and nice.

"I'm a second year. Is your brother my age?"

"No, we're twins. His name's Sam."

"Oh, well, I'm going to go but I'll see you later."

"See you!" She exclaimed. It was almost unnatural to see a Slytherin being nice but since I hadn't seen anyone else like her, I wasn't going to ask any questions. I just hoped the other Slytherins wouldn't turn her into them.
