"It's cold" Loki muttered under his breath as he took another sip of this disgusting but much needed drink called 'coffee'. If it was on him, he wouldn't have stepped out of his room in this weather in spite of the fact that he was actually out of the said room and now is seen roaming the streets of New York.

'The very place you so easily wrecked havoc on.' came from a voice deep within himself...

"I did remind you to grab a jacket!" The spider kid chided next to him to which Loki just rolled his eyes.

"That was a mistake on my part... I guess" He clutched onto the warm drink that was now slowly freezing as they neared their destination.

"Whoa! Is that you? Loki? Admitting your mistakes?? Let me record this!!" The spider kid rummaged through his pockets and shoved a Midgardian cell phone before his face. Loki made a face and stepped aside from the Cell Phone assault range.

Seeing the Spider- No, seeing Peter laugh and joke around with him like Loki wasn't the very person who had caused them such great damage and destruction, like he wasn't the God who attacked their peaceful city, let Thanos control him like a puppet while he tore apart these same roads with the said Titan's aid.

It'd be wrong to claim innocence when he gave up too soon, couldn't uphold the name of house Odin and was easily moulded into a mere pawn piece in the hands of the Other, the mere thought of the wicked creature made him nauseous..

Would it all have been nothing but just a dream if Loki tried hard to forget that he was one of the main reasons that the Mad Titan laid eyes on this realm? Will he be forgiven of his crime just like that...? Because he bent under the pressure? No, absolutely not.. Forgiveness is something that is meant for every other creature but him, he may crave for it, prove his own insanity with multiple excuses.. but never gain the trust of the ones he's hurt... The ones he has broken beyond repair... He is unredeemable.

"Hey! Loki! Are you alright buddy?" Peter was standing in front of him now, looking at him with concern... A foreign expression.. and again something precious wasted on someone like Loki... He simply nodded after composing himself. "Everything is well 'Man of Spider'"

"Cool, and you better start calling me by my name. It's 'Peter Parker' not that hard, is it?" Loki just shook his head and continued to ignore Peter's rant for the rest of the journey. Instead, he busied himself thinking about the reasons he had to give up on his nap in their new home in midgard and get dragged to the Avengers tower by the kid next to him. But did he even ask why they were suddenly walking down the road to the tower??

"Parker, Why are you escorting me to the Avengers tower? Is there any hazard awaiting us this very moment as we talk?" Peter shrugged, stopping his continuous chatter and looked at Loki again. This time there was a small knowing upturn of his lips as he gently shifted one of Loki's bags from one hand to another. "Nothing that I've been told of, so no." Loki eased at that and they continued in silence. Peter must have sensed Loki's nervousness at some point, hence the kid let him keep his pace and simply followed him without a word more.

They neared the tower after a fifteen minute walk down the food street where Loki got them each a cup of hot chocolate milk (one of the greatest inventions of Midgard if you ask him). Peter insisted on carrying his luggage saying Loki looked like he could faint at any moment (which was again... Not true) but Loki didn't fight back and instead bought them toasted sesame bagels from the famous place that Peter always nagged him to visit.

Peter's phone rang when they both reached the elevator after getting themselves identified and checked-in by these really bulky and tall Midgardian 'Bodygaurds' as Peter put in.
