Shindou's POV:
As we were walking to the field I heard Kirino's voice calling out for me
"Hey Shindou!"
"Y-Yes?"
"How long are you going to stare at that invitation thingy?" She asked
"Wh-What?" I answered realizing that I have been staring at the card since I got it
"Are you going to his birthday party?" she asked curiously
"Umm.... I am not sure. I am just surprised about the fact that everyone is suddenly treating me like this. I am kind of not used to all this" He said with a sad look
"Shindou! Please forget about everything from the past and start a new life. You have to move on or else you will be sad for your whole entire life!"
"Kirino... I promise you that I will try" I said with a blank face
Kirino's POV:
There is something that is missing.... Shindou's smile....
As we reached the field we saw that the whole team was waiting for us. Or actually waiting for Shindou.
"Hey Captain! Welcome back! We've been waiting for you!" Said Sangoku-San screaming with excitement and happiness.
As Sangoku- San said that I can see Shindou's face filled with tears already. But I guess he wasn't crying because he was sad, but he was crying because he was happy.
As me and Shindou approached the team, Sangoku-San gave Shindou the Captain's band and Shindou took it hesitantly, and he gave the team a thank you look but with no smile.
I was very happy but something was still missing.... Shindou's smile....
We spent the next few hours training and having fun together. There was only one more thing I felt like I still have to aim for. I will aim to see your smile ...
At about 7 PM we decided to end the practice session for the day and we all went back home. As me and Masaki were waiting for our driver I realized that tomorrow is a special day. It's Shindou's birthday! (The date of shindou's birthday is unkown so I won't mention it lol)
"MASAKI!" I screamed
"What's up with you? Why did you scream? What happened?" He asked with a horrified face
"Tomorrow is Shindou's birthday! We should through a party for him!" I said
"What? through a party? Don't you think his parents will do that for him?" He asked
"I don't care I'll talk to them and tell them that we are going to through a party for him instead of soccer practice and I will tell the team to get ready and we will prepare everythign for the party" I said excitedly
"ummm... You are making no sense. How the hell are we going to have time to prepare for a birthday party for tomorrow?" Masaki asked with confusion
"Here first of all we will tell the team and make sure Shindou doesn't realize it. Then we ask the couch to announce that practice is delayed an extra hour and we prepare for his party in that hour in the club room. But before that we will invite him parents and order a nice cake, and buy him presents! How does that sound?" I explained with excitement
"Impossible, but we'll give it a try" He said with a teasy look on his face
"Great! Now let's message the team, and I will let Shindou's parents know about the party."
Shindou I will make your 14th birthday the best day of your life, and I will see that smile that I have always been longing to see...
