How I met you

Butter pov (Yas the psychotic bitch who's writing we love):

I was walking through the park on my way to the roller rink, I was alone because I had a random urge to go skate and Light didn't wanna come with me.I could feel the win blow through my scarf and unwind it from my neck. I tried to grab it but just barely missed and tripped over a crack in the sidewalk. 

"Shit"I said as I fell face first into the concert "Well that sucks," I as I watched my scarf blow away in the wind.

I get up, dusted myself off and then looked at my scarf getting stuck in a tree branch.

"Well there's no way I'm reaching that," I scoffed and turned around then continued walking feeling a little colder than I did before 

Ace pov (everyone's fav oreo):

I was sitting at a bench in the park popping the last of my ice cream cone in my mouth. Unfortunately I was alone because of something about Jake from State Farm showing up and no one else wanted to go get ice cream with me, which kinda sucked.  

I got up and stretched a little then heard a "shit" from my right, I looked over just in time to see someone fall and watch their scarf blow away in the wind. I looked at the direction it came from and saw a person dusting themselves off saying something and walking off.

Oh, that must have been their scarf, I should probably go be a good person and get it back for them.

I run up to the tree where it got stuck then start to climb, silently hoping not to fall.

"haha" I said as I finally grabbed it then started to fall backwards I try to catch myself on another tree limb but I just missed it and fell backwards expecting a hard landing.

Instead I landed with a tiny "oof" I opened my eyes to see the person who fell earlier face right next to mine

We just stayed like that for a minute staring into each other eyes, then finally

"Are you alright there your kinda red," They said smiling awkwardly 

They have a really pretty smile ... Ace what the fuck-

"Umm, do you need medical help or something" They spoke up again losing their smile slowly

Shit you were staring too long

I push away and finally hit the hard concrete with a groan

"Ah, Are you actually ok" They kneel down next to me a little panicked

"Yeah yeah, I'm perfectly fine sorry about that" I rub the back of my neck nervously still blushing a little

"Here let me help you up, " They extend their hand to me

I grab it and feel a little shock go through my hand and some how my blush got worse, we then just kinda stayed like that holding hand int the most awkward way possible for a while, while the scarf was in my other hand

Oh right Scarf

"Oh uhh, I got your scarf" I held out my hand this time to offer the scarf

"Wow you seriously though just climbed a tree to get a strangers scarf back then acted like you didn't almost fall on the ground" They said taking the scarf back and wrapping it snugly around their neck "because of what?"

"Good Samaritan Ace is on the case (paw patrol don't sue me) but, other then that I saw you fall and just decided to help someone out real quick you know" I explained

"Alright I'll give you credit for helping a random person you just met" 

"Well I mean you don't have to be a random person right?" I extended my hand to them once again "Heya, names Ace, pronouns are he/they/xe nice to meet ya ..." I just waited for a response hoping their weren't homophobic or anything with a very awkward smile (I'm sorry acey I still dont know how to use neo pronouns forgive me bro)

"Oh my name is Butter pronouns are she/her nice to meet you Ace" She shook my hand 

Thank god(pearl) a non homophobic person out in the wild

"Well uh" We stopped shaking hands after literally 2 seconds and I look at her again  "Since I'm alone and you're alone and we are no longer strangers wanna hang out a bit" I was hoping she would say yes because I don't know what it was but I really wanted to be around her for as long as possible

Butter pov

I look at them with a blank face

Was I about to get fucking kidnapped who the actual fuck would just invite someone randomly after they just met but why not I mean he did just risked some bones for my scarf and I mean they are incredibly pretty and seem quite trust worthy, what did I just think- ... have I finally gone mad

"I guess but I was already on my way somewhere so we could just go there"I pointed in the direction in which the roller rink was "Because I'm not going to lie it a little weird you just randomly offered to accompany me while I'm alone out here"

They just kinda stopped and stared at me for a second "This is extremely creepy insistent it" He started to fiddle with their fingers looking a bit like they just lost their color.

"Well if you were choosing the place yeah it would be but we are going to a very public place and I scream extremely loud, plus," I dig into my sweater pocket and pull out a pocket knife with a little flip (I had that crazy bitch have a knife this might end badly) "Self defense ... mostly"

Ace just stood there again so I put it away and turned on my heel then looked back "We gonna go or what"

"Yeah just pull out a knife then have my follow you, you are very trustworthy I see" They say sarcastically

"Yup indeed I am" I kept walking forward towards the way of the roller rink, I could hear him jogging to me then appearing by my side.

"You didn't tell me where we are going by the way and I kind of need to know that bit" He said looking at me like a lost puppy "I mean you said it would be loud and crowded ... I'm not exactly the best with that whole deal" He started to twiddle with their fingers again

"Well I mean it is a roller rink we can just avoid people but I don't really think we can get rid of the noise" I said reconsidering it immediately

"Umm I might just leave if it gets too loud but I mean I'm down to skate with you for a little while at least" They turned to me with a slightly reassuring smile 

"Sure, if you're ok with that we can just go there for a bit then go get some food or something" I suggested 

"Yeah if you're up for that I would love to spend some more time with you" They stopped and looked away embarrassed "That was weird I'm sorry"

"Nah its fine, kinda endearing honestly. Are you ready to go though?" I asked holding out my hand for him to take

They smile and take my hand "Yup let's go," and then the queers walked off into the distance towards the roller rink
