Chapter 4 – Lost Dance
Stare...
I just stared back.
Stare...
Even though I was super tired from not being able to sleep properly last night, I couldn't help but stare back. Feeling that intense stare, I just couldn't sleep! But, no matter how many times I turned, staring back, I was met with the faint shadow of a doll sitting on a shelf, not the girl whose stare I felt! Though, they can be considered the same person...But...can a doll really stare?! And I can't sleep, dammit!!
I quickly sat up on the bed, and pointed an accusing figure towards the staring shadow, “Stop staring, dammit!”
But, there was no response. As expected, right? Since there is only a doll there...An effing staring one at that!!!!
“Dude, you look like shit.”
I slowly turned, glaring at Jesse with my blood shot eyes, “Why, thank you, my considerate friend.” My voice dripped in sarcasm...
“But, seriously, is it ok to go the club today, since you're all tired like that?”
“Of course! There's no way I'm even going back tonight...”
There was just no way I'd go there, where that crazy sadistic doll was just waiting to drive me crazy! I can't even imagine the pleasure she must get from seeing how much I suffer...I shivered at the thought. That's why, today I'm going to have fun! And try as hard as possible not to think about her...That way, maybe she'll be gone when I get back! But, even I knew that was just wishful thinking. I sighed. Will I never be sane again?
I was having fun like usual. Dancing, talking to girls...When something completely unusual, and immensely shocking and disturbing happened. Yes, the thing I had dreaded most. Today, I would find out if what I saw was really a hallucination!
The loud crowd seemed to grow quieter, the music resonating even more in the closed space. Every eye in the room seemed to turn in the same direction. Though when I realized, and did the same, I really wished I hadn't.
Standing there, smiling elegantly in the pheromone filled crowd of young drunk people, was the sight I had dreaded the most. That stupid sadistic doll! Who the hell did she get here?! And more importantly, everyone else can see her too?!...Or I could just be hallucinating that too.
She really didn't look like she belonged here though. Her hair was too long, and her dress too...old-fashioned and doll like. Really, it's not the 18th century or something! At least I think that's the time it belongs to...
After some time, everyone kinda just went back to what they were doing, though many seemed to be gossiping about her...Anyway, in the midst of that crowd, her bright violet eyes finally seemed to find what they were looking for. And if you thought that was me, than bingo! Unfortunately for me, you're right...
I just stared blankly, as if I didn't care she were here. And then...she smirked?! Yous see me, so you smirk?! Somehow, every tiny little thing this doll did just pissed me off. Though really, the staring was the worst...I couldn't even sleep, dammit! And now, she comes ruin my peace here too!
“Hey, Blaze~ Where are you looking? Lets dance!” The girl I had been talking to said clinging to my arm.
When I turned to face her though, she seemed to flinch. Really, what's with everyone and thinking I'm scary lately?!
“Umm...On second thought, I think my friend is calling me,so...Bye!” And with that she ran off with her tail between her legs. Coward!
