"A fake relationship wasn't what I had in mind when I said you should try dating again..." Flora says as I explain everything to her after she realized that I had moved.
"I didn't do this because I wanted to try dating again" Sometimes I think she hears sections that stick out to her more.
"I know it's for a good reason but are you sure you can trust the guy? I mean you said he does similar work to your father and you don't know exactly what his job is right?" She begins to eat the crepe that I had baked for Mariano and them before I left and brought her one.
"I had my concerns also but Romero assured me that he understands how to separate his work life from his personal life. If you see the way he is with his daughter and younger brother, you would grow a small amount of trust for him" I explain to her and she nods her head.
"As long as you're okay with this, then I am too. I just can't believe this is the same guy who said all those things to you a year ago, I remember how you were at a loss for words when you told me" She drizzled more chocolate on the crepe and added some powdered sugar.
"He hasn't changed since then, trust me" I remember last night and don't even know what propelled me to try and beat him at his own game.
"Does this mean you can't see Preston anymore? I think he has feelings for you, the other day he asked if you were busy or anything because he hadn't got a word back from you after the double date" She mentions and I start to feel bad.
"I hadn't had the chance to respond to him since I moved in with Mariano" I didn't know the extent of the contract if seeing other people would breach it or not.
"I think you should text him, he's a nice person and I think the two of you got along during the double date, even at the birthday dinner."
"I will later today but Preston and I agreed on being friends right now, I don't want to move into anything fast and he understands that," I tell her because I know how Flora likes to play cupid with men that come into my life.
"Fine but that doesn't mean I still won't wait for the day you two start seeing each other as more than friends" She shrugs her shoulders.
"That day might never come, you have to accept that idea as well" I grab her plate when she's finished and take it to her kitchen.
