matilda the musical the movie is good but i feel like they take a character trait of the trunchbull away
in the actual musical when she speaks she pronounces all the silent letters for example she says when like w hhen this really adds to her character
it sort of shows that she doesn't slack off and miss letters out.
the way matildas story is shown to the audience it's like a build up so when you realise who it is about it really hits you that miss honey's character shows little signs of her aunt being abusive with all the flinches and it shows how much she cares for matilda as she goes against her tormentor
when miss honey gives matilda the scarf it shows she considers matilda to be like a daughter, same with the teacup
matilda is very cleverly written
