After arguing over what music to listen to, almost hitting a deer, and taking two wrong turns, we finally made it to our destination. Noel parked her van at the bottom of the hill. The sun was getting close to setting and the sky was turning orange. I could barley see thee silhouette of the moon rising in the distance. If I remembered right, tonight was going to be a full moon. Perfect for a spooky Halloween night. Although, looking back on things, I wish we would've known what we were getting ourselves into.

"Come on, let's get out already. I've been stuck in between these two idiots for the whole drive!" Ryann complained from her seat in between the two guys.

"Give me a minute! Damn, I'm just trying to fix my hair and turn the GSP off." Noel spat as she fluffed up her hair and checked her makeup in the mirror.

"Wow, way to mention the GSP when you didn't even listen to it. I had to remind you about it like five times during this drive." I said with a huff and crossing my arms.

"I'm getting out. Feel free to join me when you're done fixing your hair and whatever else in the hell you're doing." Brennan grumbled as he got out of the car.

"Wait a damn second! I'm coming!" Noel threw the mirror back up into its place and jumped out of the car after Brennan. I laughed and I could hear Ryann chuckling from the backseat as she ran after him. I got out of the car just as Ryann and Alex did.

We trudged to the top of the hill. The faint smell of smoke filled my lungs. I tried my best not to cough as Alex had a minor coughing fit next to me.

"You doing okay bud?" I asked, looking over at him.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Just having some lung trouble that's all." He said with a wheeze as he tried to calm down his cough. As we were walking up I got a better look at the haunted house that we were going to. It looked like your stereotypical haunted house. It was painted a black and the paint was chipping off, exposing the dark wood underneath. The grass around it was overgrown. A patch of ivy had wound its way around one of the porch columns of the house and held it in its deadly grasp. It had an eerie vibe to it overall. There was a white plastic table in front of the house. There was a man standing at it. From what I could tell he had black hair, some kind of tan jacket on and something underneath it. But from where I was I couldn't really make out any facial features. I couldn't see what was on the table either. From the corner of my vision something moved in one of the top windows in the house. It looked like a pair of horns floating past the window like a ghost. I stopped for a second in a panic.

"Hey, did you see that?" I elbowed Ryann who was walking next to me and pointed at the window where I had seen the figure.

"Seen what?" Ryann asked, looking in the direction I was pointing then looking back at me.

"No, I didn't see anything. What did you see (Y/N)?"

"I thought I saw someone with horns... Maybe I'm just getting too excited about this." I said in an exasperated tone as I lowered my arm.

"Are you seeing things (Y/N)?" Alex asked with a paranoid tone in his voice. His eyebrows were scrunched together, his amber eyes were filled with worry, and his hands were trembling slightly.

"No, no. I think I'm just too hyped about this. I think my brain is making me see scary stuff cause that's what I wanna see." I said, trying to play off what I said with a laugh. But deep down I was concerned that what I had seen was real. I know Alex can get super anxious about this kind of stuff. I didn't want to stress him out.

"Okay. Just let me know if you need something, okay?" Alex said, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"I will, thanks." I said, nodding my head. Alex removed his hand from my shoulder.
