Chapter 27

Diya POV

Early in the morning we have started for the waterfalls near our hotel and spent a few hours over there. Most of my classmates went crazy while I was rejoicing about the updates I got from Vikram. His last text said that he had reached the outskirts of the city and he dropped off the driver, he would be reaching home soon.

Poor him, he must be really tired by all the travelling ad he must have slept off after spending some time with Zyra. I hung out with my friends and was excited to be back to home. When I reached the mansion, it was pretty quiet in there, Aunty was sitting on the couch crying while the body guards were frantic and in a rush like something bad happened. Zyra was crying and I first took her in my arms, she latched on to my neck and tried to share her sorrows. I asked Aunty what happened and what she said made me sick to my stomach and I could feel the shock turning in to a miserable sadness in my heart.

Aunty : Vikram is missing Diya

Me: What ?? How is it possible ?? He messaged me that he had reached the outskirts and would be at home in no time.

Aunty : Yes, that is the last information we have before we saw this in news

She switched on the news channel and I saw that the car which Vikram was driving hit the tree and mysteriously caught fire. I sat down on the couch, completely shocked and felt my eyes well up.

We just started making memories for ourselves and you already eyed my happiness. Why god ?? Why?? I was happy, I was in love with him but you made me the most unlucky person in the world who could not express what she feels for her husband. Vikram, I love you. You cannot leave me and go, you promised you would be fine, you cant break your promise. 

Me: What do the doctors say ? Do they think that ....

Aunty: He is alive ?? No, we dont know 

That made me break down, I hugged Zyru and cried my heart out. I dont know what she understood but she started wiping my tears with her tiny little hands, that is exactly when our head bodyguard came in.

Head of Bodyguards : Mam, please dont lose hope, Vikram sir isnt in the car. 

Me: What do you mean ?

HOB: He was driving on the highway when he felt like he was being followed at a safe distance. He texted me the car number and it was your family's car. We understood that they were following to take their revenge. I gave sir an idea and he dashed the car, lighting a fire on it. As they were still catching up, they would assume that Vikram sir himself got into a accident and died looking at the fire, Vikram sir was supposed to hide on the side of the road which was the dense forest. 

I tracked down the CCTV on that road, and called the police, seeing that the diversion we made started attracting attention, your uncle left which was good for us. We were supposed to find him in the forest, but his network is gone and we are searching for him right now. 

Me: So he could be alive ? But where could he go ? He should be in that forest right? Track his location, he was wearing his watch, that should help you even if it is switched off it can be tracked, here is his ID. Take one of the dogs which can smell his scent, that can lead to him right?

HOB : Yes mam

After what felt like two days but it was just a few hours, HOB called me and told me that Vikram was actually found and in the hospital. We all rushed there and found him safe with a couple of scars here and there

Thank you god you saved my husband

I went in and looked at him, he was in his sleep but looked peaceful, I held his hand and promised to him that I will take my revenge and they will pay.

I took all the bodyguards we had and implemented the plan we had in our mind

1) We kidnapped all the school going kids in that family and put them in a safe house under the care of a caretaker and guards

2) We got the information that some of the ladies in their family were out shopping and we picked them upto and held them captive

3) I sent some cops over with a vacating notice sent to my evil uncle saying that he has to vacate the house with whatever he has and if he does not he will be forced to vacate.

We cut him off from his grand kids, he got to know about some of the ladies missing and he found out he was homeless, his scared and lost face gave me some comfort.

Me: My dear uncle, you were about to ruin my family by killing my husband, which so this is my revenge, you know all these years I thought because you were my relatives I never claimed my house and resources thinking about the women and kids of this house but you never thought of me so why should I ??

So you have three options, confess for the sins and go to jail or leave this home and this state and go to where ever we tell you too and be safe with your family or see the death of your own family, stay homeless and repent for your mistakes. You choose what you want to do.

Though this guy was a shrewed man, he loves his family and his own life so he chose to confess and we promised to give back his family. He confessed how he was the person who has planned to kill me before and how he planned to kill my husband today. When he thought he was saved, our spy in his home, the girl who was his 2nd son's daughter in law revealed to us that he was the one who killed my dad too which broke my mom's heart because of loosing him and she died right after that. This information was revealed in front of her by her husband who was boosting about his and his family's achievements.

After the confession he thought I would leave him but he was put into jail. The adults who knew about this was arrested while the kids were handed over to the closest relatives or orphanages. I donated this home to the charitable trust while I ensured that all the kids had a safe place to go. I have thanked the spy for helping us all these years and rewarded her well.

After finishing the chapter of hate now I promised to myself that I would be letting Vikram know about my feelings soon enough as I dont want to regret it later on.
