Kagome sat on the edge of the well as she waved back at us. "Bye guys, see you in three days."

"See you later Kagome," Sango said, wishing her off.

"Bring back plenty of ninja snacks!" Shippo said. Kagome nodded before jumping in and returning to her time.

It's been a while since the incident at the village. Inuyasha grew stronger learning Tetsusaiga's ultimate technique, the Backlash Wave and the Red Tetsusaiga which allows him to break through barriers now.

For me, I've gotten the hang of my sacred beads. I can cast barriers more consistently but the drawbacks suck. Passing out from overusing them is such an inconvenience.

Inuyasha stood to the side, glaring at the well in annoyance. "I can't believe we have to come back because she has some stupid tests."

I placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "It can't be helped, Inuyasha. They're important for her education."

Sango turned from the well to look at me. "If that's the case then isn't it bad that you're missing them Kagami?"

"Yea..." I doubt I can pass to the next grade at this point. Haah, I'll be held back.

"Well let's not stress over things and have some time to relax," Miroku said, trying to lighten the mood.

Inuyasha started to grumble, still unsatisfied with the situation. "Aren't you guys being too carefree right now?"

Miroku shrugged as he started heading back to the village. "There's nothing we can do without Kagome around."

"Yeah, so there's no use complaining about it," Sango said following suit.

"You should learn to relax sometimes," Shippo said, walking away with the two.

"Damn it all. We don't have time for this!" Inuyasha shouted crossing his arms angrily.

I sighed, raising a hand to pet the top of his head. "There, there. Let's go join them before you blow a blood vessel."

"Hmph."

We all met up at Kaede's hut and rested for the day. Shippo was playing around with Kirara. Miroku was trying to make the moves on Sango before getting slapped across the face again.

Inuyasha was laying down on his side doing his usual fidgeting whenever he was moody. Must still be bothered at Kagome leaving.

Times like this is when I missed being at home the most. Going out to cafes, the arcade, the movies, anywhere really. There was always something to keep me busy, unlike the Feudal Era. Sitting around doing nothing just wasn't my style so I got up from my spot on the floor and made my way outside, not noticing a pair of eyes watching me.

Hmm, what should I do today? I stood at the center of the village looking at the various shops and stalls. New clothes? No, I should save money for our travels. Something small then? Ah, maybe I can make something again.

"What are you doing?"

I turned around at the familiar voice to notice Inuyasha right behind me. "Inuyasha? Hm well, I wanted to do some shopping."

His eyes shone with small interest. "For what?"

Good question. I just wanted to find something to keep me busy while waiting for Kagome's return. Oh, that's right! "A gift for my brother. Maybe I can give him something, like a souvenir."

Inuyasha tilted his head trying to understand the unfamiliar word. "A souve-what?"

"You know something to remind him of me. He always spoils me with small gifts so I want to do the same." I explained.
