So as of late, I've joined my school softball team. I often find myself signing myself up for sports I'm not really qualified for. Within the two weeks I've been playing so many things have happened.
On my first practice, A bug flew into my bra. Don't ask me why or how it got there but it was there. By some miracle the coach chose me (out of all the more qualified girls) to be back catcher. I was really excited. Of course I didn't know much of what a bat catcher did at the time, but I knew the position was somewhat important. So there I was, with all the gear, and I feel the fly, I basically rip all the gear off and try to get it out. I got out. But I looked like a mess. I almost took my shirt off, thank the Lord I didn't because that would have been really weird.
As I'm practicing, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten hit in the crotch. A lot. It hurts but I have to pretend like I'm fine. I hate being weak in front of people I have to show I'm worthy to (aka the coach) One of the pitchers really has to work on her aim. I have gotten hit SO MANY TIMES. On my back, on my arms, there are so many bruises on my legs it's unbelievable. Keep in mind I'm sore after every practice because I'm out of shape. My shoulders get so sore and my quads hurt because I'm in this weird squat position 75% of the time.
So far my team has lost all of our games. (There have been 3) Today we had a game, and we didn't win but I was really proud of a us. Almost all of us hit the ball once, I was bat catcher for most of the game and I think I did pretty well, and we all made good hustles.************A/N*************
Sorry this chapter was so short, I was just waiting for the water to heat up after my sister took her 4 day shower.
