Chapter 65: Ayanokouji takes charge

Nanami POV

It's almost the end of the school year and I haven't found a way to get rid of Nagumo. I know Shirogane-kun is already finding some info on them but without Horikita-senpai. It's going to be tough from here. So, I have to ask "him" again. This school needs to be saved. I arrived at Class 2-D's room as I met a lone student. It was a boy with spiky brown hair with an ahoge. I've asked him many times to help me, but he refused since he always says that he's not talented or strong enough to even help someone from Class A. But I need him. He's been hanging out with me for some time, and I have been tutoring him for the past year or so. 

"Hajime-kun" 

"Chiaki-san? what do you want? I told you; I can't help you" he said 

"*sigh*, we've been over this before. I know you don't want to be expelled because of Miyabi but I have a feeling he will expel you regardless by the next school year if you don't join me." I spoke 

"He's willing to expel anyone who isn't considered talented or good enough. You could end up being a prime target." I added 

"I came to this school because it's the most prestigious school in Japan, but to think they would set such a high standard like this is insane to me. But I believe if I work hard enough then I could be safe" Hajime-kun said 

"Not in Miyabi's eyes" I replied 

"Listen, it's been almost a year and you continue to refuse, are you sure you want to risk your own future by doing nothing?" I asked 

"I already have Class S and half of the 2nd years rallying to my side. So please. I need you" 

Hajime-kun was hesitant at first but I know that he can be of great help to me and everyone 

"*sigh* I'll consider it" he said 

"Thank you" I said before leaving the room 

Nagumo will make big changes once I become a 3rd year. I have to stop him soon before this school becomes out of control with expulsions. I said that I wouldn't want to lead but thanks to Horikita-senpai's encouraging words to me. I made my decision... 

"I'm going to dethrone him and become the student council president"

Ayanokouji POV

It was the day after my fight with Haru. Luckily yesterday I called up Kei to get me to an infirmary. I made up a very clever excuse that I had an accident so that they won't suspect anything. After getting treatment, I was pretty much fine after that. 

I was on my way to school until Karuizawa met up with me. 

"Kiyotaka what happened to you?" she asked 

"I just had an accident" I said but I don't think it convinced her

"Are you sure? I mean why do you have so many bruises on your face and why is your head bandaged like that?" she asked as she points at my head. 

"I told you it's an accident, don't worry about me" 

"Ah mou, seriously you're so good at lying. I know you had a fight again" she said 

"What makes you say that?" 

"Just a hunch even though it's actually true, right?" she asked

"*sigh* let's talk about this later"

I arrived at the classroom to see everyone looking at me. Some were shocked some were having blanked expressions.
