As Ximena strolled through Luna Island, she marveled at the vibrant colors surrounding her. She exchanged smiles with children who waved at her, but her attention shifted when she heard Maya colliding with someone. "I'm so sorry! Let me help you," the Teca Princess exclaimed, holding the boy's wooden cane and assisting him to stand. Ximena, arms crossed tightly, scrutinized the boy and his injured leg.
"Gracias, gracias, niña linda," the boy softly thanked, wincing with each painful step. Maya, hesitant but with no alternative, mustered the courage to ask for directions. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Uh, do you know where I can find the Wizard Council, by any chance?" The boy paused abruptly, turning around swiftly. "Yeah, I'd tell you, but it's a secret to the non-wizards and witches," he said, extending his hand towards Maya, his eyes gesturing toward his open palm.
'Money. Of course.'
"Huh? Oh, of course, I get it. I guess," Maya hesitantly slipped a gold token from her pocket, flicking it toward the unknown boy with her thumb. However, Ximena intercepted the coin midway. "Ximena, what are you doing?" Maya questioned as her friend's eyes locked onto the boy, who nervously swallowed under her glare.
Ximena, still silent, squinted at the boy until she snapped her eyes away. "Maya, we're already here. Look," she pointed towards the sky at the colossal rooster palace. "It's literally shaped like a rooster. My best guess is that they're in there," she claimed, glaring coldly at the boy, who innocently smiled. Maya widened her eyes in realization. "Wait, you mean we were already here?" She looked at the gold coin Ximena had handed back to her. The princess groaned and shoved the boy away. "Ugh, you hustler! We don't have time for this."
Grabbing Ximena's hand, Maya and her friend ascended the steps of the Wizard Council. Inside, laughter echoed from the front as the council members joked around, seemingly carefree. "Are you sure you really want to have her on your team?" Ximena whispered, grinning as Maya smirked in response. "Kidding, I'm kidding." Standing before the council, Maya slammed Eagle Claw to the ground, capturing their attention with a resounding thud.
"Princesa Maya, Senora Ximena?" The Gran Bruja called out, raising an eyebrow in surprise at seeing the two on Luna Island. Maya twirled her sword, securing it back on her back. "The Teca prophecy was wrong. We are the prophecy. And you, Gran Bruja, are the Great Rooster Wizard I seek," Maya declared, but her speech was met with laughter from the council members.
Ximena rolled her eyes. "Ay dios mio..." she whispered, questioning how this lady held the title of Gran Bruja. Deadpanning at the laughing council, their hysterics tempted her to fly up and slap their faces one by one. Meanwhile, Maya, feeling humiliated, proclaimed, "I am! I'm the Great Eagle Warrior!" Yet, their laughter persisted. "What is so funny?" she asked Ximena, who wore an irritated expression. "Ximena?"
