I'm freezing, I thought to myself as I sat on the bleachers outside the baseball field.
I pulled the blanket tighter around myself as I watched Joe walk up to the plate.
"Let's go Little Joe!" I shouted, smiling when he turned around and glared at me.
I watched as he took his place and smacked the ball straight into center field.
We all cheered as the runner on third base came running in, scoring the winning run.
I stood up and walked over to the fence where the boys were coming out of, seeing Joe jogging towards me.
"Hey, my little winner." I said, kissing him.
"Hey, lovely." He said, wrapping his arm around my waist. "How are you on this fine night?"
"Pretty great. My wonderful boyfriend just won the game for his team and I couldn't be happier. What about you?"
"Wonderful now that you are with me."
"So, what should we do tonight?" I asked, wrapping my fingers around his.
"Want to get Jack in the Box and watch movies?" He asked, opening his car door for me.
"Is that even a real question?" I asked, causing him to smile at me.
I took his hand into mine and played with his fingers as we quietly drove to Jack in the Box.
"I want-" I started to say but his smile cut me off. "What?"
"You think I don't know what you want?"
"Well no. But-"
"It's ok. I know what you want. You are my girlfriend." He said, pulling into the parking lot.
We got out of the car and walked hand-in-hand to the door, ducking under his arm as I walked into the grease-smelling building.
He ordered our food and we thanked the lady there who said we were a cute couple before driving back to my house.
"Mom, we are going to watch movies for a little bit. We'll be done by 11." I said, taking Joe's hand and pulling him upstairs to my room.
Joe sat on the bed while I changed into leggings. I laid my head back on the pillowcase-covered pillow and he laid beside me.
"What should we watch?" I asked, taking a bite of my chicken nugget.
"Whatever you would like." He said, wrapping his arm around my stomach.
I ended up turning on Friends and laid my head on his chest as he ran his fingers through my blonde hair.
"Sweetie," my moms voice was muffled by the door. "It's time for Joe to go home."
We stood up and hugged briefly before kissing. "Bye baby."
"Bye lovely." He said, kissing my temple before opening my door and saying goodbye to my mom and my sister, Annie.
