Michael didn't think it would ever be possible for him to ever hate a kitten. Ever. Kittens were one of his favorite things of the world (besides Luke), but a certain, black kitten was literally one of his least favorite things in the entire world.

A few days back, Luke had brought home a tiny kitten that he had found outside, and it had taken up most of Luke's time since. Michael was upset, to say the least. That stupid cat was receiving more attention from Luke than Michael was getting from his boyfriend.

Michael had woken up to an empty bed once again, which he frowned to. He expected to walk down into the living room to see Luke and that damn cat cuddled up on the couch like he had found them the past few days, and when he did go downstairs, he was proven correct.

"Morning," Michael mumbled, tiredly rubbing his eyes to get rid of his sleepiness. He plopped down on the couch next to Luke, stealing a strawberry from the plate sitting on the coffee table.

"Good morning," Luke grinned, kissing his boyfriend on the cheek sweetly. The kitten in his lap lifted her head up, looking around for the source of the noise that had woken her up. When she saw that it was just the two boys talking, she started softly kneading at Luke's sweatpants and curled up again, falling back asleep.

Luke nearly cooed, running his index finger over the top of her head. "She is so adorable," Luke gushed, sighing in content.

Glaring at her, Michael couldn't help but nod his head in agreement. She was cute, and that was the problem. The only reason Luke spent all of his time on her was because she was so cute.

Luke continued, "she always falls asleep on me, it's so cute."

Michael furrowed his eyebrows, frowning slightly. He really hated that stupid cat for making Luke so fond and lovey towards it. He had Luke first, so it was only fair that he got all of Luke's attention. Call him selfish, but Luke was his and no kitten was going to take him away from Michael.

The blue haired boy sighed, hugging Luke's arm. He discreetly rubbed his cheek against his shoulder, trying to act as cute and cuddly as possible. If the kitten could do it and make it look cute, then he sure as hell could too.

"What are you doing?" Luke chuckled, glancing down at Michael.

Shrugging, Michael gently pulled himself closer to Luke. "I just wanna cuddle," he mumbled, kissing Luke's shoulder. He stole a quick glance at the cat, who was purring contently on Luke's leg.

"Hmm, alright," Luke smiled, running his fingers through Michael's hair.

Michael blushed, closing his eyes and enjoying the feeling of Luke playing with his hair. He made a content noise, nudging his head against Luke's hand. He had seen the kitten do the same thing before, so he figured he would do it to see if Luke would pay any more attention to him.

Luke raised an eyebrow, but stayed silent as he continued to run his fingers through Michael's hair. He was a little confused as to why Michael was suddenly being so needy and touchy, but he wasn't going to complain. Michael usually only cuddled when he was tired, so he was quite content.

It was silent for a few minutes, the only sound in the room being the kittens quiet purrs as Luke pet both the kitten and Michael. Michael had started to doze off, his grip on Luke's arm gradually getting looser and looser. Luke realized it and smiled fondly, gently pulling his hand away.

Michael felt the loss of contact and whined sleepily, once again nudging his head against Luke's hand so he would continue to play with his hair. He might have been half asleep but it felt nice and he wanted the same amount of attention as the cat was getting.

"Michael?" Luke said quietly, rubbing Michael's shoulder. The other boy hummed in response, tiredly blinking up at Luke. The blonde could have sworn he was going to cry; Michael's eyes looking up at him so innocently was driving him insane.

"Why are you acting so clingy today, babe? Not that I'm not enjoying it, but you're really cuddly today. What's going on?" He asked, pulling Michael closer into his side. He had a feeling something might be wrong with Michael, either that or he was just really tired. Michael blushed, hiding his face against Luke's arm with a small shrug.

Luke noticed Michael staring at the cat, a thought occurring to him. "Are you jealous of the kitten?" He asked with a small laugh, leaning his head on top of his boyfriend's. He felt Michael's head shake underneath his.

"No," the shorter boy quietly replied, quite obviously lying. He pulled the sleeves of his sweater down over his knuckles, embarrassed of getting so flustered over a cat. He realized that to anyone else it wouldn't be a big deal, but he was very possessive over his Luke. He didn't like sharing.

"You do realize it's a cat, right? It's not like I'm going to marry it," Luke giggled, finding it cute that Michael was getting so jealous over a small animal. He kissed the tip of Michael's nose, lifting his chin up so he was looking into his eyes.

"I know, but you were giving it so much attention and I got jealous. I don't like sharing you," Michael pouted, almost causing Luke to 'aww' out loud. His boyfriend was too cute.

"I'm sorry baby. I'll try to pay more attention to you from now on, okay? Wouldn't want you to get jealous, yeh?"

Michael just nodded and bit his lip, his cheeks flushing red as he cuddled into Luke again, trying to hide the growing smile on his face.
