"DRACO GIVE IT BACK!"

I was furiously chasing Draco through the halls because he had taken my diary. As I was chasing him, Lucius tripped me.

"Watch where your going."

I rolled my eyes and stood back up. I began chasing Draco again as I got closer he fell down the stairs.

"Moron."

"Oh shut up."

He threw the book at my head. I dodged as Draco began to walk off. I picked up the book and walked down the stairs, following him into the kitchen.

"Look what came in the mail darling."

Narcissa handed Draco a letter.

"What is that?"

"A birthday card"

"But your birthday was 18 days ago!."

"Hazel, i was being sarcastic. No wonder you didn't get a letter."

I sat quietly watching him open the letter.
Draco began to read the letter out loud.

'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Alb-'

"Boring"

Draco said as he stoped reading and skipped ahead.

'Dear Draco Malfoy,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

"Woah, no fair!"

"Not my fault your probably a mud-blood anyways."

Draco always said this because, he knew it made me feel bad about myself. Later, that day the three of them went out into town for supplies and left me home alone. As I was sitting around reading I heard something at the door. I slowly walked over to the door and saw an envelope on the floor.

I bent down and picked it up. I flipped it over and saw it had my name on the back of it. I began to open it as the door opened. I dropped the envelope on accident. When I realized it was just them I went over and pick it back up but, before I could Lucius put his cane over it and bent over to pick it up.

He began staring at it as if to say it's fake or I didn't deserve it. He thrusted it into my chest and arms.

"I guess we have to go shopping for you to."

Narcissa said looking at me and than Draco.

"We'll come on then."

Narcissa and I went out and began shopping for all of my supplies. I saw a large group of boys around a shops window peering in at something. Narcissa brought me into Ollivanders for a wand.

"Ah hello deary here for a wand I suppose."

Narcissa nodded as ollivander began asking me questions and then squired off and grabbed a box and came back.

"Try this one, phoenix feather with oak wood, swishy."

I lightly swished it and it set off an explosion.

"I'm so sorry!"

I said sincerely as I set the wand back on his desk. He went back and grabbed another wand.

"Dragon heartstring and Acacia wood not to bendy....go on...try it."

As I swished, it felt like a light beamed over me as a soft breeze flew by. Neither of them said anything so I assumed it was good. Ollivander grabbed the box and my wand and handed it to Narcissa. As we left we went to the familiar store and bought me a black and grey owl.

"What are you going to name her darling?"

"I'm not sure, how about..killer or Sabbath or dusk?"

As we returned home and had dinner, Lucius was acting stranger than normal. Surprisingly for the next couple of days he hadn't made any snarky comments or hit me. As the days went on Draco was excited to get to Hogwarts. Meanwhile, I was worried for I didn't know what house I would be placed in. By Draco's remarks I knew I didn't want to be in hufflepuff.
